Fries are gluten free (nothing but potatoes go into the fryer), and burgers are grilled on a separate cooktop and with separate, clearly marked utensils from buns. Burgers can be served lettuce-wrapped or in a bowl. Almost all shakes are GF (just not Oreo or Reese’s mix-ins), so you may be able to get away with asking the staff to wipe down the shake blender wand to avoid cross contact.

Staff is moderately aware of gluten and food allergies. They’re happy to answer questions about condiments and food prep methods.

Without my asking, the staff packed my cheeseburger bowl in a separate bag from the rest of my family’s order to avoid cross contact with their burger buns.
Two different cooktops, one for buns and one for burgers. Two sets of spatulas and utensils, red for meat and white for bread.
Another shot of the two cooktops. The staff informed me this was done expressly to prevent cross-contact with gluten for the burger patties.
Little cheeseburger bowl.

The food tasted good, did not have gluten free buns like other five guys locations I’ve been to but had the option of a bowl or a lettuce wrap for the burger. As always the fries are delicious.

I have eaten here in the past with no issues. Today was terrible. I asked for a refund. I stated gluten allergy and asked staff to change gloves. They didn’t change gloves. When I reminded them they made a face and changed gloves but then touched bread before making my lettuce wrap. When I said something about it the girl made a face. So I asked for a refund.

As long as you tell them you have an allergy they will change their gloves and you can eat the French fries too which is always hard to find when out
