Delicious GF pizzas available, not sure what crust they use but it's great! You still get the stone oven taste but they cook it on its own single-use tray so it's safe. Been here several times now without issue.
Excellent gluten free pizza! Knowledgeable server, our pizza was made on disposable pans, separate prep area and ingredients. Crusts are made by “A piece of mind” bakery in NH. My 8 year old with celiac was in heaven. Salads were yummy too!
Good selection of GF options (including dessert), asked if it was a preference or allergy, and didn't make me sick. They prepared the pizza in a separate area and cooked it on a safe pan. I went here based on the good reviews here on Find Me GF--after my server gave me all the disclaimers about how they can't guarantee anything is GF, told me the precautions they take, and came just short of recommending that someone with celiac shouldn't eat there, I went ahead and ate here based on their good reviews and had no issues, but the server nearly had me too scared to eat there.
Amazing flatbread and the tables outside in the back are awesome on a nice summer night! I had the brownie sundae as well and didn't get sick. Would definitely go back!

Pizza is great! Each waiter that I’ve had is knowledgeable about gluten free options and ask if the pizza needs to be cooked on a separate stone. Highly recommended

When you order the gluten free pizza the server should ask if it's an intolerance or celiac- ie if they should put it in a safe pan- if they don't make sure to mention celiac! They can prepare the pizza in a separate area the server informed me. Good to have this option when going out with people. I am not a huge fan of the crust as I think it's a little soggy but still good toppings and great to have the option of safe pizza in downtown Portland.
Awesome! Finally a GF crust that isn't like hard and crispy. Sat outside and had great views of the harbor. Service was really good.
We ordered the flatbread special with prosciutto, red onions, cranberries, and I believe three different types of cheeses... Drizzled with a balsamic reduction! It was so tasty! The dough is by far the best I've ever had! It was a perfect size to share. I also had a bottle lavender lemonade mead wine -- I highly recommend it! Great quality ingredients! The only downfall to this place is the service took soooo long.

Always a great experience with delicious food. Often a wait for a table, but I prefer the bar anyway. Great options for GF pizza, delicious, fresh ingredients, and the specials are always interesting and worth trying. Good selection of GF beer and cider. The staff is always friendly.
The best GF pizza in the area! I've literally tried all of the other options and this crust is fantastic! We always get the special because they have a more creative topping - both a veggie special and a meat special are offered.
Excellent gf pizza baked in tinfoil tray. Edited 1/5/19: we both got sick several months ago and now don’t eat at Flatbread. I think there’s just too much gluten in the air. The staff is very upfront about this which I appreciate, and we still think this is a wonderful local business, but sadly we don’t eat there anymore.
Best pizza I've ever had. I got the sausage pizza with vegan cheese. Our waitress was really responsive and happy to talk through their precautions to keep the pizza safe. For gluten free pizza they make it in the back room so it's not prepared near the gluten pizza, and they use toppings that haven't been used for gluten pizza, either. Then they carry it out on a special tray so it doesn't touch anything. I also watched the person putting pizzas in the oven and he was very careful about placing it in a way that he wouldn't be putting the floured paddle over top of it. These folks really go above and beyond to make gluten free pizza as safe as it could possibly be in this type of restaurant. They also made a mistake on my pizza and cut it using the wrong (gf but not df) cutter, so they immediately made a new one. I appreciated that they caught the mistake and corrected it right away. That said, the seating area is in a large room where the gluten pizzas are being made and cooked. The ovens have hoods and we saw the smoke being sucked into the hoods, so any flour in the air stays away from the seating area. I'm very sensitive and didn't get glutened.
Great pizza - both gf and normal - great atmosphere and very pleasant staff. $5 extra for any gf pizza base but my daughter reckons best pizza she’s had since being gf. As others have said - cooked on separate tray and used different cutter etc - seemed very aware of cross contamination
Found this place by chance. Walked in with my mom, thinking I wouldn’t be able to eat here as well. Noticed gluten free options on the menu, talked with the waitress and the manager and found out they have a completely separate area to prepare their pizza and cook it for the gluten pizzas! They also cook all pizzas in an aluminum pan so if you have a dairy allergy as well as a gluten allergy, you can rest easy knowing they take the time to significantly lower the risk of cross contamination for us dairy free customers! Had the pizza and it was amazing! Would definitely go there again!
Absolutely awesome! One the gluten free pizza is out of this world! Never had anything as close to regular then this. Neither my husband or son has ever gotten sick. Just make you tell them it is for an allergy. Gluten free choc chip whoopie pie is gf and vegan and it is amazing! They also do vegan/diary free pizza if you are can’t have either. Highly highly recommend. Have eaten there many times with gluten and dairy issues and never once gotten sick!
They have an extensive menu of flatbreads which really look more like pizzas. Any of them can be made gluten free for an upcharge. When I told them I have Celiacs she assured me they would make it in a separate pan in a different oven downstairs. The flatbreads that came out were amazing! It wasn’t the traditional gluten free pizza crust I’ve become accustomed to at many pizza places. This one was chewy and reminded me of what pizza used to taste like! They also offer gluten free desserts and ciders. We will be back!
Most all pizzas available on GF crust. Cooked on separate tray (shared oven space but on separate disposable tray so not touching oven). Server very friendly and knowledgeable about both GF and peanut allergies. I have a wheat allergy so always very careful. Would eat there again
Oh no, originally gave 5 stars about 8 months ago. But yesterday had a bad reaction. When I picked up the pizza the hostess asked if I had Celiacs and if I'd had their pizza before. I said "yes and no reaction." She replied "oh good." 4 hours later that conversation made sense in a different way. Sadly downgrading to not celiac safe.
Great pizza, even by non-gluten free standards. Only caveat is that gluten free crust is an extra $7, but I genuinely thought it was worth it. Staff knowledgeable about celiac, and specifically assured me that the pizza was prepared separately from the other pizzas to minimize cross-contamination. Also had salada and ciders.
Waiter was knowledgeable on celiac. They prep it on a separate surface and cook it on foil in the oven to avoid cross contamination. Biggest thing for me was the taste of the pizza was so good. Most restaurants that have GF crust undercook or overcook it. But these folks got it perfect on all 3 GF pizzas! Their ingredients are all fantastic as well. Best pizza over had since being diagnosed. Only downside was cost. $110 for 4 pizzas and 1 mixed drink. But hey, you're on vacation in Maui, so sticker shock is common.
Knowledgeable staff and separate preparation for GF pizza made this feel like a safe choice. My son ate the pizza and did not complain but honestly I didn't think it was very good.The toppings were delicious but the GF dough not so much. It seemed like the bottom (either the dough itself or because it is cooked in a pan) was undercooked but the crust was really dark. I'm not sure how they could avoid it given that they are going out of their way to make it safe, but I guess upon reading all the reviews I had set expectations higher. Great service, salad, fresh lemonade and toppings.
The food is awesome and the ambience of the older mill building is charming. Staff are friendly and helpful with how to make menu items GF. The GF pizza is exceptionally tasty. My only frustration was the $4.50 upcharge to make the standard pizza using GF dough. I understand why it costs a little more, but it does make one feel a bit like a second class patron when the reason for GF is allergy related rather than personal preference.
Staff seemed very knowledgeable about Celiac. Informed me that they take as many precautions as possible but there is plenty of "airborne flour, etc." so I'm taking a risk eating there. I ordered a cheese and herb flatbread which apparently came out without herbs because the waitress asked afterwards if I wanted herbs on the side? I declined because it was very tasty without. Picky family loved their non-gf pizza. I waited a few days to make sure I didn't get sick and so far so good. The pizza was however extremely greasy and maybe I'm weird but the amount of smoke from the ovens inside kind of bugged me while eating, haha. I'd go back though.
We Nima tested the gluten free jays heart pizza and came back positive for wheat 👎. The staff was very knowledgeable, they prepare it in a separate area, use separate cutting utensils, cooked on tin foil, still came back with wheat. So sad was looking forward to trying this place
Very friendly front of house who answered all of my questions regarding preparation, even on a busy holiday weekend. My order was flagged to prevent cross contamination. Separate prep area and pizza cooked on heavy foil. Delicious pizza with chewy crust. Would recommend and will visit next time I'm in town.
They not only cooked the pizza on a disposable tray but they prepare the pizza where they prepare the salads to help with any cross-contamination. The gf pizza was very good and my son had no issues after eating it. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere was great. It's family friendly but also a good place to go without kids. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again.
My go-to pizza place. For one, they carry the only GF beer I like (Glutenburg) and they seem very aware of cross contamination risks, giving a little warning about the chance of flour in the air every time we go. Given that it's nearly impossible to have zero risk, and given that they have a separate preparation area for GF pizzas, I'm ok with that small level of risk but last time they even offered to put my pizza together in the walk-in freezer, which is going above and beyond and shows that they are really trying to make it work for even very sensitive people. And they apparently have a separate pizza oven for GF (this is new). And your pizza arrives in a foil tray. The ability to go out with friends for pizza and beer after my diagnosis means a huge amount to me. Highly recommended.
This might have been the best pizza I have ever had. They catered perfectly to my gluten allergy, with an amazing pizza and a gluten free whoopee pie for desert. Everything is farm to table, healthy and delicious. I might come back to North Conway just for more Flatbread Company, I would very highly recommend it to anyone and everyone, especially those with food allergies.
One of my absolute favorite GF pizzas! Punctuated Equilibrium is my favorite. I live nearby and get a pizza for pick-up almost every week--I've never gotten sick and it tastes delicious. They also have a great salad, GF beer, and a really tasty GF whoopie pie for dessert. If you come here to eat, it's a fun, casual atmosphere, but don't come expecting a quiet meal as there are lots of families with children. I've bowled here several times, and it's awesome being able to get a GF pizza and beer while bowling. (Be warned that the wait for bowling can be very long and you cannot call ahead; you must put your name on the waiting list in person.)
