I went to eat here with my boyfriend and spoke to our waiter about my celiac. He confirmed that the gluten-free pizzas are made in a separate areas, with separate ingredients, and on a tinfoil tray to prevent it from touching the other pizzas. However, all of the regular and gluten-free pizzas are baked in the same oven, and the oven is right next to the very gluten-y, floury preparation area. I appreciate the steps they do take, but the shared oven makes me very wary. I decided not to eat here after all in favor of a safer meal. Should they implement a separate oven, I would be more inclined to try eating here.

Ate here twice. Didn’t get sick. They have a separate prep area and keep the gluten free pizzas wrapped in foil to prevent cross contamination.

Not the best photo, pizza wasn't greasy like the picture looks. Very cheesy, great taste. They do cut it awkwardly though.

Had some delicious cider on tap and a small gluten free Vermont sausage pizza. There was also bowling which I definitely want to try next time!

Eh. Would not order again: I don’t like the flavor of their crust and always find that there isn’t enough cheese or sauce. It can get to $20 for a personal pizza if you start adding extras. I’d rather just get a frozen Freschetta pizza- or even a frozen American Flatbread pizza for that matter! They are somehow different.

The manager came over and talked to me after I ordered a GF pizza for my son. She explained that they change gloves, prepare the pizza in a separate part of the kitchen and in a separate oven, but cross contamination is still possible due to all the flour in the environment. My son with celiac did not have any reaction and enjoyed his pizza.

Had a delicious pizza and did not get sick! Menu even had a section for gluten free drinks! There is a risk of cross contamination due to flour being in the air however they prepped my pizza in the back from ingredients straight out of the walk in fridge to minimize that risk.

Great toppings and atmosphere! They cook the the GF pizzas in separate trays to protect against cross contamination. I've eaten here multiple times without a problem. Good cider selection too!

Excellent gf pizza baked in tinfoil tray. Edited 1/5/19: we both got sick several months ago and now don’t eat at Flatbread. I think there’s just too much gluten in the air. The staff is very upfront about this which I appreciate, and we still think this is a wonderful local business, but sadly we don’t eat there anymore.

Pizza is good, but I got really ill the last time I ate there. They take precautions with baking the pizza, but there is lots of gluten in the air. In my opinion, not worth the risk.

My go-to pizza place. For one, they carry the only GF beer I like (Glutenburg) and they seem very aware of cross contamination risks, giving a little warning about the chance of flour in the air every time we go. Given that it's nearly impossible to have zero risk, and given that they have a separate preparation area for GF pizzas, I'm ok with that small level of risk but last time they even offered to put my pizza together in the walk-in freezer, which is going above and beyond and shows that they are really trying to make it work for even very sensitive people.

And they apparently have a separate pizza oven for GF (this is new). And your pizza arrives in a foil tray.

The ability to go out with friends for pizza and beer after my diagnosis means a huge amount to me. Highly recommended.

Very tasty pizza. Baked in the same oven, but they wrap it in tinfoil so that it doesn't touch the stone or other pizza. The salads are delish too, and they have great local cider options.

One of my absolute favorite GF pizzas! Punctuated Equilibrium is my favorite. I live nearby and get a pizza for pick-up almost every week--I've never gotten sick and it tastes delicious. They also have a great salad, GF beer, and a really tasty GF whoopie pie for dessert. If you come here to eat, it's a fun, casual atmosphere, but don't come expecting a quiet meal as there are lots of families with children. I've bowled here several times, and it's awesome being able to get a GF pizza and beer while bowling. (Be warned that the wait for bowling can be very long and you cannot call ahead; you must put your name on the waiting list in person.)

THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME! Their pizza was the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Both the server and the manager made sure they went through the whole process with us. Everything is local, homemade, or organic and every pizza can be made gluten free. They prep everything in a separate area. They have a decent selection of ciders and gf beers. For dessert, they had gluten free brownies and maple whoopie pies. It is pricey, but I would pay for a lot for such great service.

This is one of my go-to places for a tasty GF meal. Their GF crust is very good -- in fact, my boyfriend thought it was tastier than their regular crust! They also have GF desserts, although I don't think they list them on the menu. Very busy on weekend evenings though -- they don't take reservations, but you can call ahead to put your name on the list.

This place is SUPER neat. Flatbread with all organic ingredients in an old school candle pin bowling alley! To make it better when we told the waitress my girlfriend has celiacs, she pointed to an enormous chalkboard that read "we love gluten free". Then, the restaurant manager came over to the table to assume us that all of the gluten free crusts were not store bought and they were made in the salad area, cooked on foil, and cut using a new cutter to avoid contamination. The pizza was great and we even got one to go! GREAT family environment.
