Improved gluten free service over the past few months. Staff seems much more aware. Gluten allergy pizzas cooked in a separate tin for takeout. Celiac had no issues on multiple occasions.

They make their pizzas in a totally separate area and keep it in its own pan when they cook it, great atmosphere and great food

Ordered a gluten free south Windsor flatbread and it tested positive for gluten with my Nima sensor. Smelled delicious, I'm sure it's great for people with mild sensitivity. They were very apologetic.

Just okay. There is a pretty sizable up-charge for the gf crust. So the much higher price just isn’t worth it for not so good pizza. We did have a very good gf dessert that they get brought in from a local gf bakery.

Found this place by chance. Walked in with my mom, thinking I wouldn’t be able to eat here as well. Noticed gluten free options on the menu, talked with the waitress and the manager and found out they have a completely separate area to prepare their pizza and cook it for the gluten pizzas! They also cook all pizzas in an aluminum pan so if you have a dairy allergy as well as a gluten allergy, you can rest easy knowing they take the time to significantly lower the risk of cross contamination for us dairy free customers! Had the pizza and it was amazing! Would definitely go there again!

This place is pricey (I usually spend about $30 just for my GFDF flatbread). However the GF flatbreads (with vegan cheese as an option) are good. The ambience is nice with the wood-fired pizza oven in one of the dining rooms. It can get pretty loud inside when it’s busy though, which makes it hard to have a conversation. The outdoor seating is quieter.

I am GFDF. I always have a conversation with the waitstaff to confirm that they’ll prepare it in the separate GF area and be careful to prevent cross contamination. I really like the crust and the vegan cheese is alright. I’ve been probably a dozen times over the years and it’s been reliably good.

On my most recent visit when they brought my GF pizza to the table they said it was gluten free without me having to confirm, which was nice. Hoping that’s now a standard practice for them.

A recent time on a very busy (and likely understaffed with resulting slow service) evening my pizza was a little undercooked so the cheese and crust weren’t as browned and tasty. If I notice this in the future I’ll ask them to cook it a little more, but this is the first time I remember it being an issue.

I usually get the New VT Sausage flatbread, because that way I get some protein in my meal (since vegan cheeses usually have none/almost none). I wish there were some more protein-containing options (that didn’t require the extra cost of ordering a custom pizza). A vegetarian DF protein option would be really nice, such as black beans or BBQ tempeh. Edit: There is also a pepperoni option, and also a buffalo chicken option, but it has blue cheese dressing on it so it’d be missing an important ingredient when made DF.

I’m asymptomatic so can’t report on any reactions to possible cross contamination, but I’ve always felt good about their explanations and dedication to making sure my pizza was prepared in a celiac safe way. There is still a risk from being in the same facility and oven with gluten, but they use a separate cooking surface in the oven than they use for gluten pizzas, and I usually confirm that the GF pizza will be above the gluten pizzas.

Another plus is that some of their ingredients are local and/or organic.

That all being said, I usually end up spending $30 here so taking off a star for how expensive it is for what you get. Just checked the menu for current prices: The New VT Sausage flatbread with vegan cheese and GF crust (only small size available) comes to $25.50 before tax and tip. This seems much higher than it should be for what you get.

Also fyi their site says they only offer reservations for parties of 7 or more and maybe only for certain times of day. Otherwise is first come first served.

This restraunt was in a way, a disappointment. We had to wait an hour for a table. They had maple lemonade that sounded really good, but ended up being lemonade with pretty much no maple taste(still was good though). The pizza was pretty bad. The crust was floppy and barely browed, so there wasn't crispness like usually with thin crusts. Wouldn't really recommend.

Have a GF pizza option and will mark for “allergy”. Pizza was good, no idea how safe the kitchen is, but they claim they keep separate to limit cross contamination. Went on a Friday night in December and was really busy (bus boy became our server), so not sure if they are as careful at peak times, but all in all a good experience. No reason to not believe them, would go back. Celiac daughter enjoyed it, no symptoms. Would recommend you go on waitlist on their website as wait at peak times can be 1 hour+. We went at 5:15pm and used online waitlist and waited 5 mins, vs families that just walked in and waited 30-60 mins.

My daughter has celiac and had no issues. Waiter was knowledgeable and they did have separate food prep area and cooked pizza on foil in the oven.

I ordered a Medecine Wherl pizza with a gluten free crust. This is the FIRST gluten free pizza that I have ever had that was delicious! I had almost given up on finding an edible GF pizza crust. American Flatbrwad gets their GF crusts from Hillside Farm in Vermont. We also had a salad special- yummy and large! Our server, Tom, was knowledgeable, attentive and prompt! We also enjoyed the musicians that played in rhe Speakeasy section if the restaurant . All in all, an enjoyable evening .
