DO NOT EAT HERE! I know there may be positive reviews, but trust me, it’s not worth the risk. There’s other places in Wildwood that you can get food from. I ordered the “gluten free” Mac n cheese from Flower Child and within 2 hours was nonstop vomiting so severely that I was hospitalized for a night. This was one of the worst reactions of my whole life, and I have no idea how it happened since their Mac n cheese is allegedly supposed to be gluten free, with no non-gf version available. If you have Celiac, DO NOT EAT AT FLOWER CHILD, don’t ruin your day/week by getting glutened here!
Went there today and ordered steak, gluten-free mac & cheese, and fruit. I specifically told the woman who took the order that I had celiac disease and that I needed the food to be prepared to gluten-free. Given the previous positive reviews, imagine my surprise upon having stomach pains shortly after leaving the restaurant. I shall not be going back.
This is a go-to restaurant for me. The majority of items on the menu are GF, and even more can be modified. It’s reliably tasty and quick too. I’ve never gotten sick here- their mac and cheese is always GF and they carry several GF baked goods too. They recently started making sweet potato fries that are GF as well! Love it!
Truly the best place ever, I come from NJ and anytime we are near one we will drop everything to come here. Nearly everything on the menu is gluten free including the amazing Mac and cheese and cookies. You don’t even have to ask any questions about cross contamination because they are 100% gf. Staff could not be nicer. 10/10 recommend!
Lots of GF options on the menu, and staff was great to note my allergy and assured me that they take cross contamination into account.
Loved the food! Ordered the chicken enchiladas, a chicken entree w/GF Mac & Cheese and BBQ carrots, and a GF lemon muffin. The enchiladas were delicious, it was yummy to have Mac & Cheese, and the lemon muffin was moist and fresh tasting. The only thing I didn’t like was the BBQ carrots. They had an overpowering BBQ seasoning all over them that had a bit of an artificial taste to me.
Definitely recommend!
Many gluten free items on the menu and awareness of allergy and celiac procedures. It is a shared space but I’ve never had any issues at a Flower Child location. This location is new but at their grand opening appears to be following similar procedures and I had a great meal. In the end, I think Flower Child is a good option because they have awareness of celiac procedures and that there are fewer opportunities for cross contamination in their kitchen due to their abundance of gluten free menu options.
