They warned me against mild cross contamination as there is the chance of airborne flour. Well, I got SO SO SO SICK. I actually had to ask for a later checkout from my hotel the next day bc it was SO bad. There was nothing mild about it - I actually think they may have given me a gluten crust. Beware.
We've been several times and the pizza is good. Last visit, we definitely got glutened and haven't been back since. It was busy and our server seemed frazzled so maybe that's why but if you're moderately-highly sensitive, I wouldn't risk it.
GF pizza (+2.50) seemed cooked in advance of the 1.00ea ingredients added upon pizza AFTER cooking. Grilled chicken upon it kinda cold. Servicepeople were absolutely & overtly DISINTERESTED. Pizza was dropped at the table and staff was gone as I was in process if asking her a question. I had asked for the GF Brownie for dessert...yet our total was ready as pizzas were cleared and I had to remind her we weren't done and wanted dessert. Our drinks were weak. Pizza was interesting...just do Take-out!!!
I really was excited to eat here as there were majority good reviews, however 30 minutes after eating the pizza I started to get my usual "you've had gluten" symptoms. There must of been some cross-contamination in the kitchen without their realization. I would say this restaurant isn't celiac friendly.
Great tasting pizza, good knowledge and GF, however, I had issues within 15 minutes of eating the pizza. Not sure if it was the toppings or contamination from cooking. Usually, I don't have issues that quickly so it must have been something bad. Prob won't be trying it again to find out though.
If only all ended well...I loved the energy and thoughtfulness of the staff but I was reminded again of why I only occasionally eat out. My younger daughter and myself both ordered individual GF pizzas and the GF brownie desert. Tasted great and even asked for verification that ours was indeed GF. Perhaps something handled improperly in the kitchen, but both of us still feeling the undeniable ugly Gluten hangover the following day.
they do have a GF menu, but it is not safe for those with celiac as they make the other pizza a fair amount of time with flour in the air. we went with 4 adults and 4 toddlers after reading rave reviews and I ended up having to get a wrap across the street for my 3 year.old and myself as they made regular pizza 20 min prior. big bummer and socially difficult situation.
I go here quite regularly for the GF Mars Attacks pizza. (Meatball pizza with Burrata and some of the best sauce ever) I've been meaning to try some of their other toppings, but the meatball pizza is so good that I can't tear myself away! They also offer all 4 Glutenburg GF beers! The service is fantastic, in that they don't treat Celiacs like a nuisance. They are happy and up to accommodating, and they always ask how my GF pizza was. I've had non-celiac friends say the GF pizza is just as good as regular dough pizza.
Waitress asked if I was GF due to allergy or lifestyle. Then explained the risk of cross contamination. All small specialty pizzas could be made into GF for $4.50 more. There were at least 6 GF beer/cider options. Pizza was one of the better GF pizzas I've had. Service was a little slow but she explained it was due to the kitchen taking precautions with gloves etc.
OMG! I am gluten and dairy free and this was the best pizza ever! I felt like a real girl again! I had pizza and beer! This place is awesome. The pizza crust rivals many "normal" crusts in taste. They also use dayia "cheese" and it is sooo tasty. My BF got a regular pizza and it looked and smelled amazing too. It's a Must try!
