After seeing some reviews about potential cross-contamination, we called to ask about their gluten free food prep. We learned that they don't have any, that the gluten free crepes are prepped and cooked on the same surfaces as the food containing gluten. When my husband pointed out that this could make people with gluten intolerance sick, he was told that they are "gluten free, not celiac free." I assume she meant celiac friendly, but either way it doesn't seem like a good option.
Not safe for celiac. They use the same pan for both types of crepes, they only wipe the pan. Our server had no idea what I was taking about, the manager walked by and overheard me asking. I haven't been very sensitive lately, so I went for it. I'll leave another update if I have a reaction. It was delicious!
Perhaps it was a new waiter, but one of the staff members said something that directly contradicted what another said. I'm happy to say that I did not get sick and the food was very good. You need to ask for any of the sweet crepes to made with the buckwheat flour, and the gentleman who helped me said he wasn't entirely sure the sausage was safe. Still a great place to eat. I'm not sure celiacs would be completely safe if they talk to the wrong person.
