Great experience! Server was knowledgeable on options and cross contamination. They have protocols for major allergens and prepare GF food in its own area of the kitchen limiting cross contamination. They also brought my food out separate from others’ orders. I was able to have a burger with GF bun and a side of mashed potatoes. GF options are noted thoroughly on the menu. They seem to really put care into the process which made me feel safe! No symptoms afterwards.
Nice GF options marked on the regular menu. Had a very tasty burger with Udi’s GF bun. Selection of customized toppings available for burgers. Great atmosphere, decor and service. This location can get really busy, but they will text when your table is ready allowing you to explore the interesting downtown area while waiting. I have eaten here multiple times without reaction and have always enjoyed my meal.
A few gluten free options, mainly burgers/sandwiches and salads. The burger I had was lackluster in taste, and I wasn’t confident in my server’s understanding of Celiac disease on the busy night we went in.
There was also only one cider available on the bar menu (Angry Orchard).
My husband has Celiac, and we’ve had a tough time so far in Ft Myers with his meals. I saw Ford Garage on this website and am so glad we went. The menu is marked for G F items. He was very happy with his burger, and I had a Berry & Gorgonzola salad with chicken that was superb & was also G F. Good service as well.
They have Udi’s buns but I was served mine half frozen. The original burger they brought me was on a regular bun even though I requested GF and let them know I had celiacs. Luckily I caught it. The new burger delivered on the cold bun was covered in salt and not very good. The only GF sides are broccoli and green beans. Overall not a good experience.
Tammy the front manager was extremely amazing! She went and checked the marinade and everything and advised me that it was not labeled gluten free so she wouldn’t trust it. She has a niece who has celiac. I expressed I am a super sensitive and she said she would explain again to the cook. The GM brought my food out and proceeded to question me “I’m not trying to be rude but like this is difficult to ask....what would REALLY happen to you if you had gluten?? We are all just really wondering because you know this is like a fad” I explained I have celiac and went into details explaining what it is and how sick I get. He then watched me eat it while walking around I knew in my gut they didn’t prep it correct (it was like let’s see what happens to her) as I was pretty much made to feel mocked. Never again will I eat here. We drove an hour to a festival in town with my two kids and had to leave right after seating didn’t even get to go. I lay here in severe pain sick as a dog. I won’t get into details on the sickness..don’t eat here if you’re celiac!! God bless Tammy she tried! And I thank her again! But the rest of the staff..you are horrible!! I’m so upset!! 😭❤🤢
A bar with a GF menu. They have spicy (breaded) shrimp. Lettuce wraps for burgers and the Chicken Henry is amazing.
Gluten free menu, the burgers were also great. We brought our own bun as they don't include this as an option. Side dishes of salad, vegetables. Did not try the fries as there is no dedicated fryer. Otherwise there was a wide variety of ciders on the menu as well as Omission Gluten Free beer. Overall this was a very good experience, great atmosphere too.
