I ordered the trout It was delicious!!! It comes with farro which is not gluten free. Our server offered me a vegetable. I ordered the broccolini. $5 was added to the bill for getting a sub for the farro. They waived the $5 this time but will not for any future visits. It costs them nothing to sub for a Celiac. I’m very disappointed that a nice restaurant conducts business this way.
Locals (close friends) recommended Fork as an excellent place for dinner. GF items were clearly marked and the waiter was both knowledgeable and willing to check things for clarification. We ordered the “fondue” appetizer. The tomato fondue tasted like a wonderful, rich tomato soup (similar to Le Madeline’s). This is served with GF bread with cheese melted inside. Lovely! Enjoyed the Idaho trout for the meal. Out of this world! So delightful. Highly recommend Fork for all!
I sat at the bar, and the staff were all very knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions. They were familiar with cross contamination and as soon as I said I had celiac disease they told me what was considered safe and what was not. It is a shared kitchen, but I had no issues. I ordered the Pickled Local Mushrooms &Peas as an appetizer, it was delicious and something I had never heard of before. I also got the Grilled Carne Asada Salad, loved it, but I would note it is more of a bean salad than a leafy green salad, delicious none the less!
Delicious! Server was knowledgeable and walked us through the menu when we got there. We got a plain burger on a GF bun, a side of mashed potatoes and the Huli Huli chicken. All of it was really good. Carrots with the chicken were way underdone so that was a bummer, and fries came out with the burger (no dedicated fryer so the server whisked them away as soon as she realized she brought them out). GF food came out flagged though which I always appreciate!
One of my best Gf meals in town. I had a burger without a bun, subbed grilled veggies for my fries. Food was served separate from other non GF food at the table and came flagged GF. Wait staff was knowledgeable and told me when cross contact was a concern. The gluten free brownie dessert is amazing.
Absolutely fantastic. The menu is very clear about what is gluten free or what can be modified to be gluten free. I got the one of the soups of the day, it was a stew with veggies and prime rib. They gave me gluten free bread and butter on the side, it was fantastic gluten free bread and knowledgeable staff.
Menu is detailed about GF items and had several to choose from. My daughter has a wheat allergy but is extremely sensitive to contaminants. She enjoyed the short ribs and mashed potatoes--both delicious! The rest of the family loved our items, too. We ordered online and picked up. Very nice staff.
What a great restaurant! Food quality is excellent. My waitress, who was amazing, has a shellfish allergy and she eats the food there. She said the staff are very careful about food allergies.
Their menu has really good gf food choices and is clearly labeled. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Sit outside of the weather is nice the patio is spectacular!
Great atmosphere, loved the old bank building, ate outside with heaters and warm coats. Loved they acknowledged all the local suppliers on the menu. Did not have espresso machine for alternative milk lattes so I brought my own and they didn’t object. I’m a very sensitive celiac and no dairy. We went for brunch and I ordered the omelette with out pesto and cheese. Very delicious. The potatoes were CC so they gave me very nice fruit bowl. Only GF bread is a hamburger type bun they used on the eggs Benedict to make that GF and it’s CC when toasted so I didn’t get any carbs or potatoes, but didn’t get sick. Almost everything on the menu could be made GF but not much if you want celiac no CC.
Friendly staff and great food! Will return if I ever find myself back in Boise!
Waiter was amazing but it was kind of Froo Froo dining. I got the voodoo chicken which my waiter described as having a Christmas seasoning taste. It was still on the bone which I wasn't expecting and the flavor was very rich. Meat was tender but the flavor was so overpowering I couldn't finish it. I also got the gf peach cobbler. It was more like a crumble. Right now I'm just super full but no bad reactions yet to report.
This place was phenomenal! Really enjoyed everything. Our server offered to toast done gluten free buns up for us for table bread which was delicious with our clams appetizer! We also ordered the Roasted Beets, Flank Steak and Salmon. Salmon was the best! served over tiny risotto with fresh kale on top.
After looking on their website and seeing they had GF next to a lot of dishes, we were very excited to stop in and try this place. I ordered a dish with French fries, which had the option to be made gluten free, so naturally I assumed there was a separate fryer (since potatoes are already gf). Not the case. They are still fried in the same fryer as everything else. Really it's just a note for people who like to eat gluten free, not have to. I ended up changing my order to a parfait with gluten free oats. It was tasty and hit the spot for breakfast, but I wouldn't come back.
