I had been here once before and never had a problem; however, as someone with celiac, I will not be returning. Upon getting our food, they gave our friend regular pasta, and we did not know until our waiter looked at it when she came by and mentioned that it was definitely not gluten-free (this is after we had started eating). They charged us for gluten-free pasta on our final bill. Our other friend, who also had celiac, was severely ill after and likely cross contaminated. My pizza was also wrong when getting delivered to the table, and was still wrong the second time it was redone. While I have heard positive things, I would never return. Celiac is no joke, and it was incredibly difficult to deal with that night after the experience that we had.
I had a fantastic meal at Forno and didn’t have any reactions. I am extremely sensitive to gluten and soy and let the waiter know. He checked with the kitchen and said there was soy in the pizza crust, but a few minutes later came back and said they made a mistake and there is no soy in the crust. I was a little skeptical since they flip flopped on that, but went with it and had no reaction. It was so delicious and I also got a spicy cucumber margarita. Highly recommend their happy hour!
I have celiac and have gotten mildly sick every time after eating here. They have a lot of gluten free options, but there is a high risk for cross contamination. If that is a worry for you, you may want to avoid eating here. Still a great place to drink though with a great happy hour!
Ordered takeout and specifically asked about gluten free but something they gave us contained gluten and my wife was sick for two days. Food was not marked as gluten free but we did ask. Bread and pizza crust seemed too good to be gluten free and I’m afraid that was the problem, it may not have been. Unfortunately we won’t be eating here again to find out. Beware if ordering takeout, be sure to take extra care to verify.
