We went to this place 4 times during a 10-day visit to Kona. It was excellent. They were very accomodating and reassuring about my celiac disease. I had the fish and chips 3 times and the tacos another time, both were excellent.

The views, drinks and live music was good too.

I had the ribs and they were decent. I was expecting like a Hawaiian themed rib but it was more like ketchup themed. I still got to give it five stars because they really have good kitchen practices for people with celiacs.

Went to the Kona location twice. Had an amazing server, Julie the first time who also has a guten allergy. Julie is wonderful, she really takes care of you and understands allergies. She was so great we requested her the second time. No reactions, good food, and beautiful view!

Excellent lunch.. Entire staff well versed in Gluten and Dairy allergies, Celiac in particular. Dedicated fryer for GF items.. Menu is well marked with many GF items. I ordered the fish and chips..very good local fish corn meal crusted and some of the best French Fries I’ve ever had. You won’t go wrong with this beautifully decorated restaurant. Felt like an old plantation style, upstairs dining room in muted teal/green.. open air overlooking the surf.. I love a restaurant where everyone has a genuine smile and is happy to help serve you.

The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about Celiac, and made sure I knew what was GF and what was not. This was the first time I've had fish and chips in probably 5 years, so I was excited. Everything we ordered was delicious.

Have gf marked menu, lots of good options, dedicated fryer, local craft cider on tap (Ola Brew). Waiter well versed on gf/celiac prep: e.g. when I told her I was celiac as we was asking about a fried item she offered without any prompting that they have dedicated gf fryer.

This was one of the most delicious meals I have had in a LONG time. I was craving fish and chips and read about this place on this app and I’m so glad!! The fish was hot, crispy on the outside and flakey and juicy on the inside. Perfectly crispy delicious fries. All made in a dedicated gf fryer. The menu was clearly marked with gf options. They understand cross contamination! I really want to go back and eat here again on this same trip. Definitely recommend!!

Owner has celiac from what wait staff told us. They take cross contamination very seriously and had lots of options.

We loved the stuffed mushroom caps, shrimp and grits, fried fish, fish tacos and dedicated fries.

They were closed when we first went for breakfast, so check their open times, came back later for dinner and were very glad we did.

Nice views and good atmosphere.

Great variety of GF options on the menu. Our server was knowledgeable about severity of celiac disease, which is always reassuring—had my father in-law’s fish n’ chips cooked in GF dedicated fryer along with mine so to keep risk of cross-contamination even lower (we didn’t ask for him to do this; but what great practice on his part). I Nima Sensor tested my fish, chips, tartar sauce, and slaw, all with fantastic results!

Ok had to update my rating at our second visit. At the first one, we were reassured that the ribs were GF and they are marked GF on the menu. Tonight however, our waiter double checked for us and found that the rub they use on the ribs have barley flour! A big kerfluffle followed... we have no way to know if my son got glutened last week or if they just didn’t use that rub that night. Amazing view overlooking the ocean!

What a great place that was recommended by locals. Good views and great service. Felt very safe as a celiac. The ended up going back a second time because the first time they were concerned that gluten had gotten in their fryer.

DEDICATED FRYER for Gluten free food. Fries and Fish and chips are GF!!! One of the owners is Celiac and they take it very seriously. Many items on the menu are marked and safely prepared. It is an upscale dinner restaurant, so it's kind of pricey. We shared the fresh fish of the day and the fish and chips. My daughter (also Celiac) had the ribs which were good. There were quite a few choices which was really nice!!
