It appears to be 100% gluten free although the menu scared me when it said "corn dogs are naturally gluten free" instead of "certified gluten free". Overall not bad and I find myself craving this food. I only eat it on rare occasions because it is unhealthy junk food - but sometimes it tastes great. It has not made me sick.
I don't even like corndogs, and I liked this corndog. Not to mention, the funnel cake is to die for. I was also a big fan of the cheeseburger fries! Such a great option in Philly as it's in Reading Terminal, so your non-gluten free families and friends can eat something else if they want! Was of course very safe, and I didn't have any issues. 2019 update: It’s still delicious! I’ve discovered their cheese curds and omg
Nice to have a place in Reading Terminal where I felt safe eating lunch. Everything is deep-fried and gluten free, and the cashier was very knowledgeable. She said they couldn’t ‘fully’ guarantee gluten free since the food is in the same area as the bakeries (which aren’t next door), so it was basically a disclaimer for the restaurant. I didn’t find the food too heavy or greasy at all, but it’s definitely “carnie” food, so don’t expect it to be healthy! (Which I actually found to be a nice break from salads!). I just got a basic all beef corndog with garlic and Parmesan fries. Thoroughly enjoyed it! I’d definitely go back. Especially for the fries - extra garlicky and delicious!
Excellent, everything here is gluten free. Everything here is gluten free. Try the white birch beer, you can't get that anywhere except in Pennsylvania. Loved the Poutine, although I've seen that nowhere else in PA, more of a Canadian recipe. The Cheese Curds and Corn dogs are delicious, I was so full I didn't try the deep fried Gluten Free Oreos, although the Vegan Banana funnel cake was very good.
We traveled 2 1/2 hours just to try this place and it was worth it! 100% gluten free and 100% delicious! Had our first ever corn dogs, funnel cakes and fried Oreos! Kids were in heaven trying all this food for the first time! We will drive back here anytime for this place!
I was super excited to finally come and eat some fair food that hasn't been an option for many years. And I will say that the woman at the register was very nice! But like many Celiac patients, I developed a dairy allergy as well, and that's where the problem lies. After standing in line for some time, I found out that while they are Celiac friendly (!) they are not dairy allergy friendly because they share the same fryers they do the fried cheese curds, and regular corn dogs and funnel cake (vs. "vegan"). Everyone around me seemed to be enjoying their finds, but I wanted people to know who also suffer from dairy allergies that this place isn't safe.
Corn dogs were delicious and everything is gluten-free! They’re freshly made, so especially worries about cross-contamination either! They also have gluten-free funnel cake and fried Oreos, but I did not try them. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Philly!
I ate here because it is 100% free and I did not have any reaction to the corn dog, broccoli fried bites, or the fried cheese curds. This is a fun place to eat and the corndog was great and I really enjoyed the broccoli fried bites, they were just a little bit spicy which was perfect!
