Went here a few times and loved their gluten free pizza. However, the last time I went, I was given a gluten-filled pizza. I specified multiple times and even when the waiter brought the pizza to my table. I started eating, immediately felt sick, and the waiter came over to tell me the pizza actually was not gluten free. I was extremely sick in their bathroom, had to use my epipen, and was completely embarrassed. I would definitely NOT trust this restaurant if you are allergic to wheat and have to follow a gluten free diet.
The gluten free crust is the best I’ve ever had. My non celiac friend tried my crust and agreed it was amazing and just the right amount of chewy. The crust is thin but does not crumble. My favorite part is the charred edges of the crust which remind me of campfire marshmallows. So tasty!
Amazing service as well, a little out of the way to drive there, but totally worth it!!
In the end, a good experience. Ordered a salad (croutons not stated on menu) and gf pasta with rolo sauce. Salad came out with croutons! Ughh However, they remade a new salad and it was great. GF pasta made to perfection. I was thrilled to eat a gf pasta not over cooked by a restaurant. Caught a movie right after at Mamaroneck cinemas.! No gluten reaction!
I tried to order a GF pizza for takeout but the girl on the phone had no idea whatsoever about their gluten free options. She asked the chef about their gf crust but was unable to give me any info about whether the various toppings were gluten free (like the sausage). I hope they’re better about this in person but I didn’t feel comfortable ordering a gf pizza when I couldn’t get any straight info on which pizzas could be made completely gf.
The prepare the gluten free pizza in a separate area of the kitchen (which you can see from the dining area) and they even cook it in a separate oven.
The waitress was familiar with Celiac disease - I didn't even have to use the word allergy.
Great tasting pizza and I felt safe eating there.
Honorable service will not acomaddate at all. Asked if the could do one thing and manager went bostic and was very was rude considering. Nasty. Wanted to argue treated us like we were beneath him. Made us feel like trash very racist Nazi attitude. Food aweful. If you are of color or different sexual orientation avoid not celiac friendly got sick right after eating.
This professional food critic approves! First thought crust is thin and hard to chew, the flavor of the sausage and onion and cheese is great. The crust grows on you kind of like the consistency of thin crusted Italian bread. The flavor of the spicy sausage and onion makes you forget it's gluten free! Absolutely enjoyable!
