Frelard Tamales

Got to eat this at a free lunch at work which is quite a treat. Good food, giant tamales. I loved the pickled carrots and the pork filling of the tamale I had was delish. Will be eating here again!!

Delicious tamales! My kids love the beans and rice too.

Their website FAQ states that they do not use gluten in any of their food. I feel very safe eating here and have never gotten ill. Items with dairy are clearly labeled.

I ate here twice in two days. Overall the food was good and the service was friendly. It’s a takeout only situation. The tamale filling and beans weren’t the most flavorful I’ve ever had; in particular I found the shredded chicken and pork tamales to be dry. The other good I tried (mushroom tamale and jalapeño cheese tamale) was tasty and felt reasonably priced. My understanding is that the entire facility is GF except for the tres leches cake.

100% gluten free tamales! Everything made in-house is gluten free. I am a celiac and had no reaction- I ordered a bunch and have been re-heating all week.

Highly recommend the bean&cheese - a full 1/2 lb tamale and well worth the price!

All of their tamales are gluten free. I bought twelve frozen and have been heating and eating them over the past month or two. I am celiac and have had no reactions.

They're well-filled and have so many different filling options including some sweet options. The pineapple filling was a little on the sparse side but had good flavor. Unclear if/which of the sides are gluten free, but I was ordering online and didnt call to clarify. Highly recommend this cute shop. They've also been pairing with other local shops for a weekly deal during the pandemic.

A wide selection of tamales, all for $5 each. All tamales are gluten free. They even have some vegan options and some dessert options. Frelard is best for takeout, as the restaurant only has a walk-up window. Service is extremely quick and tamales are always piping hot. They also offer frozen tamales for you to take home and cook yourself. They have some delivery options and catering options as well. Frelard is giving away free meals to those affected by Covid-19. Overall can't recommend them enough. Delicious, cheap, gluten free. What's not to love?
