They only have gluten free bread. That's not fair to advertise gluten free when you only have bread as the qualifier. Very misleading. Also I called them to find out what they had that was gluten free and the lady forgot I was on the phone I was on hold for almost 10 minutes.

This is not a dedicated bakery, but I got a few things to try and everything was great. I did not have a reaction. The flourless chocolate cake is almost like fudge. The turtle and raspberry boat were both good. I bought a loaf of bread to take home and it was great for toast or sandwiches. I will go back.

We love this place. They bake their own gluten free bread so sandwiches are an option. The bakery is amazing even though gluten free options are limited they are very good.

Wonderful place for GF folks, though they say don’t eat there if you have severe reactions. I had GF bread, made fresh there, on a turkey avocado grilled sandwich. Excellent! They had a variety of baked good to choose from, also, that were clearly marked GF.

The gluten free bread in my sandwich was really good and the gluten free treats were amazing. This place is not going to work for a celiac person because it’s a big bakery and the chance of cross contamination is probably high, but if you’re someone who is gluten sensitive, it’s great!

The turkey, bacon avocado on gf bread is amazing! Although they probably wouldn’t be safe for celiac if you are gluten intolerant it’s great. I fill up on a half a sandwich and save the other half for later. Hands down the best gf sandwich I’ve ever had.

Great place for GF breakfast - they make their own GF bread. They are a full service bakery and very clearly state that their GF items are prepared in a shared facility, but they are very careful and aware of trying to keep things separate. We ate here every day during a recent vacation trip and never had an issue.
Yes
nothing is made in a clean environment. I nearly went to the hospital after eating here. sick for days and taste is only ok-ish.

They have a great menu and numerous gf pastries but they keep all gf in same display case as gluten. They share all equipment also. Very disappointed as this could be a great place for Celiac if they practiced non contamination
No
We have three people in our family gluten free. We were a bit concerned at first, as it is a shared environment. NO issues for any of us and WHAT a great find!. Cheesecakes, pastries, soups, cookies and the bread is outstanding.
We have been there twice now and they are very helpful. We bought bread for the home and recommend you give this a try

I have been a regular at Freda's for. I was told by the staff that the food is not celiac safe because of cross contamination.
I have Celiac and have eaten at Freida's several times. I always order the turkey avocado sandwich on GF bread. I have never gotten sick and it is always delicious! You can order their GF bread NOT sliced since they do use the same slicers for other breads. I'm ordering a loaf today!
Yes
We went there while on vacation. They have their GF pastries in with the regular pastries. My daughter ordered 2 pastries and they put them in the same bag as my husbands gluten pastries. I took them back and told them that my daughter could get really sick if her GF pastries were touching the gluten pastries.

GF is mostly limited to a couple of pastries and occasionally loaves of bread. Don't know if you can actually get an entire GF meal there.
Make gluten free breads and desserts
Went once. Offer panini style sandwich on their own made gf bread. Heavy grainy and dry bread. So so sandwich. AND I got sick. Will not return.
