I ordered a sandwich and it was delicious. The bread was just ok but the inside was great. The sandwich was around 20$ and it came with potatoes as a side. You can’t make reservations and we had to wait like 10 minutes. The waiter was really nice!
Potato pancake is just like how my mom makes it. My wife and kids who are celiac love this place. They have a dedicated fryer and all the foods are fresh and delcious. Great service and not overpriced compared to a lot of other restaurant's gluten free menu. Look forward to coming here a lot
Wonderful meal, knowledgeable and pleasant server. I has the best GF grilled cheese of my life, made with Gouda, broccoli rabe and caramelized onion. My son inhaled the burger on a GF roll, and my husband raved over the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and GF potato pancake. We would visit weekly if we didn't live an hour away. Love, love, love this wonderful place.
I got the pastrami sandwich on gluten free bread with fries. I gave it five stars because they took my celiacs seriously and I didn’t have any issues and it was nice to be able to eat a sandwich that didn’t fall apart. The food wasn’t really that flavorful tho - I’d go back, but I wouldn’t get a sandwich again
I will eat here everytime I'm in New York. Friendly knowledgeable staff and good quick service. Almost everything is gluten free! My husband and I split the chicken and waffles, and the ruben sandwich. It was our favourite meal of the whole trip! Really delicious!
So good with allergies! I had my heart set on the fried chicken but couldn't have the waffles due to an annatto allergy and the cheddar cheese, so they allowed for the waffles to be swapped out for a side with no extra charge. The fried chicken was amazing! So juicy and crispy all at the same time! Been here a few times since: definitely recommend the Mac and cheese and the Mediterranean shrimp salad! My two favorite things there!
Almost everything in the menu is GF, or can be made GF. And the gluten-free is served on a special plate with a GF sign. And did I mention the food is amazing?!?! Best breakfast/ brunch in the city! And convenient- it's inside Chelsea Market. I'm celiac, as are my 2 kids and we've eaten here a hundred times and never had an issue. Here's a picture of the GF pancakes.
Yum! GF Reuben and herbed fries! Went for brunch- menu a little different than lunch. Also had gf fried chicken & cheddar waffle- daughter loved it. Was crowded and hot in the restaurant, and one of our servers was not friendly at all, but would definitely recommend
Don't know how this place gets a bad review, because it's awesome! I have celiac and went there today for brunch with some gluten eating friends and all of us were absolutely impressed by the food. Lots of choices, very caring servers, they all new about celiac and cross contamination, dishes were clearly marked GF when they came to the table. If I have to say something bad, my only complaint is that the place needs to be bigger to accommodate more people. Place was packed, but after about 15 minutes, we got a table. It was worth the wait.
The waitress had no idea what a glutton free menu referred to. She recommended salads and items that obviously were glutton free. I was embarrassed. I had organz2d a brunch around the the review I found here. It was not good. Especially after a long wait.
Yes! Delicious and fabulous for both me and my non-GF friend. One of the restaurant's founders has Celiacs and insisted that the restaurant be friendly and safe to the gluten intolerant. They have now expanded to four locations throughout Manhattan. If you're looking for a safe, delicious bite, check them out!
Celiac Heaven! I ate here three times during a short trip to New York (once at the Chelsea location, twice at the Herald Sq location). Very Celiac-aware staff (my server even had Celiac!) Everything but two things on the menu can be made gluten free. Went with two "gluten eaters"...we shared the gluten free artichoke dip (amazing), I had a burger and fries - fries were awesome, burger good. Friends had turkey burger and Reuben sandwich. Both raved about their food. Definitely recommend as a safe, enjoyable place to eat. Yay!
Wow! This place is a treasure. Definitely one of the best gluten free meals I have had in years. I NEVER thought I would have a rubin like this. The bread was delicious and fried. The place was extremely busy but moving efficiently and the service was good. Can't believe they serve breaded gluten free chicken! REAl gluten free! I felt very safe. can't wait to visit New York again and have another meal.
Amazing gluten free options! I had the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with rosemary fries, something which I would never dream of being able to have anywhere else. The food was outstanding, best gluten free meal since being diagnosed coeliac 3 years ago!
Decent restaurant w/very good gluten free menu and cross-contamination procedures. Came here for brunch with several people and the food was fine - I ordered the salmon benedict, which I liked a lot. Husband got one of the specials for the day (duck hash, I think) and thought it was just ok. We also ordered gluten free pastrami sandwiches to go and they were not great. The pastrami was tough and gristly and parts of it were inedible. The staff was friendly and was very up on gluten free/celiac and avoiding cross-contamination. I'd definitely go back - hope the bad pastrami was a fluke and not what they usually serve!
