Got the beef frita on romaine with the fries! Super yummy and will definitely come back! This has become one of my favorite places in Detroit! The hibiscus batido (milkshake) was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Fried plantains were also good.
The cashier was very knowledgeable about gluten (celiac)/dairy free needs and used a separate fryer for my fries and plantains. Unfortunately, I must have been glutened with cross contact. The Frita Batidos location in Ann Arbor was a better experience.
They actually asked if I had celiac disease and made EXTRA accommodations for me. Great feeling.

Probably the best take out I’ve had in Detroit, been here for a week for work. Def a little confused by the menu at times. I also played it relatively safe, but enjoyed the chorizo patty and the fried plantains without reaction
Didn’t have the same safe feel as the Ann Arbor location. Staff weren’t very knowledgeable and didn’t seem concerned. Played it safe and got something g simple
Staff here was knowledgeable & provided me with a menu guide that details what items can be made vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, lighter on calories, soy-free, gluten-free, nuts/sesame-free, & garlic free. I had the passion fruit batido. DELICIOUS! I’m celiac & had no troubles here :)
Always a delicious choice! We’ve visited the Ann Arbor location a few times and we’re in the area and stopped. This restaurant has many delicious flavors, spices and just unique choices. We’ve had bowls, rice mixes, fries and plantains. Delicious! GF is well marked and everyone was kind about needs.
I had the most amazing experience at Frida Batidos in Detroit! We came before a concert and there was also a hockey game that night. Our service was fast and impeccable. The woman taking our order was very sweet and knowledgeable and let me know that they have a gluten free fryer that they can use! Everything was delicious and I had zero symptoms. I can't wait to go back!
The line and seating were terrible and the staff was pretty curt, but the food was pretty good and the drinks/desserts were delicious.
Theee with celiac. That did a great job with our two bowls, plantains and fries.
We went to a Tigers game and had lunch here, a Chicken Verde Frita bowl, loaded plantains, cilantro lime fries, plain plantains, and lettuce wrap beef frita The foods taste and flavor was excellent BUT, the loaded plantains and plain plantains and fries were TERRIBLY greasy, I mean they were really inedible. I’m retired chef and I can promise you they don’t turn the heat up on their friers
Just went to this restaurant and I was blown away at how delicious it was. They have a gluten free menu available online. I had the chicken bowl with coconut ginger rice and it was mouth-watering. They also have a dedicated gf fryer upon request! Enjoyed the double-fried plantains AND shoestring fries! Didn’t try the boozy milkshakes, but that’s another big plus!
