Burgers are gluten free, they have a dedicated fryer for fries (unless of an accidental mistake, in which case they informed me while ordering). Toppings bar is as risky as most buffets would be, but the kitchen is fairly safe
I love that they put a lid over your GF plate. I’m always unsure of buffets, I use my own fork and grab my toppings from the back. Pearland is not my favorite location of this chain. Fries are not GF. Barbecue sauce is.
First let me say according to their website and the few times I have been there... they have Yummy gf meat and you can build a pretty decent salad under it with their toppings bar...... BUT good luck finding someone that can confirm that... amazing how many places confuse gluten and dairy. I asked cooks and managers. No help. Maybe it was a bad location or a bad night... but one bad night can mean a bad week for your stomach so eat at your own risk. I left worried for a few hours... but all was well. I would just keep it simple with meat and veggies and condiments.
The staff are really good about making sure there is no contamination. They always ask about preference or allergy. And of the GF fryer is down, they let us know right away. Plus the GF buns are delicious! My daughters fave place!
I like bringing my celiac daughter here. She gets a burger with a tasty gf bun, safe fries, etc. Fun pop machine. And they have gf cookies from Joes. I know we cannot guarantee toppings from the salad bar, but we go before the lunch rush if we want those. We come here ever time we go to Regina.
Great place for a burger! Very friendly staff and they know what's in each item
This place is definitely not gluten free or gluten knowledgeable. I got a plain burger on a GF bun. The person putting the buns on the baskets also touched my GF bun. Major CC. If you have celiac disease don’t eat here. I got sick minutes after eating the burger.
We went because they offer gluten free buns, but despite ordering gluten free, my burger came seasoned with a gluten containing season and fries. They did remake the burger without seasoning, and I wasn’t able to have any of the sides.
Staff was great and very understanding. They put on fresh gloves for my order to avoid cross contamination. You can still get every burger that's on the menu as they have gluten free buns however, there is no dedicated fryer so we couldn't order fries. Food was quick and they atmosphere was nice.
Amazing amazing amazing!!! Recently found out my body decided it no longer approves of gluten after 39 years of yummy food. Going out to eat with the family is a pain in the ___$$. We decided to try Fuddruckers in Lakewood and they did not disappoint!! Amazing, tasty, flavorful food that I was able to feel like me again. A fullness I haven’t felt in awhile. The staff Amazing!! So knowledgeable on gluten and how serious it can be with cross contamination. They even gave me the brand of the gf buns!! Took the sticker right off the box. It was nice that they told me everything I needed to know without me asking. They made this an amazing experience for me and my family!!!! Woohoo! For gf buns that have taste and doesn’t remind you of cardboard!!!
Had a burger and fries. Gluten free bun on the burger was really good and tasty. When I asked them about the fries many times they kept swearing up and down that they were now in their own fryer and were safe. I uneasily accepted that as fact when I should have read other people’s reviews. I am now sick at home thanks to them. I’m 100% certain it was them because that’s all I’ve eaten today. Gave it 2 stars for the burger, but won’t be going back.
If you want a hamburger with bun and fries, that are gluten free, this is the place for you. Food was delicious. No other gluten free items are available. So be aware if you are looking for other choices. Why not a 5....our fries got cold super quick. Not sure why...
Knowledge staff and the gluten free bun tastes great! The fries are not gluten free but most of the staff warn you when ordering the GF bun. They do not butter or toast the bun as they do not have a separate area to toast. If you order a GF bun on the burger an no sides, then it is celiac friendly. Make sure to say it is an allergy and they will change their gloves and be considerate of the fact. Tested with our anima censor as Gluten Free.
they didn’t give me the gluten free bun, which you have to pay extra for. their fries also aren’t safe.
Ordered a burger on a gluten-free bun. I watched them prepare it--gloves were changed and the grill was cleaned. They do NOT have a dedicated fryer, which is a bummer because I love their fries. Decent experience.
I ordered all our burgers on a gf bun and explained they had to be cooked separate. I repeated it a couple times. Cashier rang us up and we waited only to find one burger correct. I explained they were all suppose to be on a gf bun and the manager asked if they had to remake the burgers or can he just put them on new buns. I told him we would get sick if they did that. Our new order arrived and we were told the cashier never charged us for the buns and we would have to pay the difference or we couldn’t take the burgers, I paid even though it was clearly not our fault. On top of it all we got sick, I will never be going back again. Clearly unsafe and they have no idea what they are doing.
Delicious but even though they have a dedicated fryer for the fries, I had a reaction. I believe they didn’t clean the grill before putting my burger on it. I even went completely bunless. Haven’t reacted at Fudd’s before, so was probably lack of care in prep at this location.
Cashier didn’t know if fries were gf, had to ask her to find out! We ordered the gluten free bun, paid for our meal, sat down and the cook came out and said the buns were in the deep freeze and asked us if we wanted a bun less burger or a wheat bun burger! We did get our money back but I don’t know if we will ever be visiting this location again. Staff needs more knowledge on what gf is!
Inquired about if BBQ sauce was GF. Gal asked the manager to come speak to me. Manager was rude, stated the fries, burgers, GF buns were all GF and that is all she knew. I expressed the need to be GF. I received the fries which were loaded with a seasoning. I asked the gal giving out the food of the seasoning was GF, when she stated no. She then wanted to take my GF bun and burger off the plate and just get new fries. I told her it was CC and another customer walking up to the counter even confirmed what I had just said. They reluctantly made a new one, but was not happy about it. Be careful.
Wonderful bacon cheddar burger with GF bun. Shift leader was very concerned about my needs and made recommendations. He looked up the cheese to make sure it was GF. Gal that brought out food made a point of assuring my hubby it was GF. Will return!
Staff was familiar with their gluten free offerings and assured me I would be safe eating there. I had a cheeseburger on a gluten free bun with potato wedges (I requested no seasoning). I felt safe eating there, had no issues, and I will be back!
Ate a free birthday 1/3 lb burger there for lunch today because I'm on the email list. I do not have a problem with cross contamination, but was told that they would change gloves. The bun was one of the better gf buns I've had. Since gluten free buns are crumbly I wrap them in the wax paper they are served on, like burgers used to be wrapped. It keeps the buns from falling all apart while eating the burger. I had the sweet potato fries which needed to be hotter. But I asked for some of the fry sauce which made the cold fries taste better. The people were very friendly and helpful. Nice environment! I don't know how celiac friendly it is.
Great burger option....but got to give this place a three since there is no gf fry option. I mean with In n Out right down the road, they should step up their fry game. I mean burgers kind of suck without fries. Am I right?
