There's a gluten free menu behind the counter, which you can ask to look at when ordering. They will tell you the grilled shrimp is gluten free, but they cook it in a barley sauce. I usually just get the spicy pork salad or taco plate with veggie tacos, lime rice, and refried beans. The Latin fried potatoes and tortilla chips are cooked in a shared fryer so I can’t eat them. The shrimp, fajita beef/chicken, tempura fish, and crispy (hard shell) tacos all contain gluten.
They have a gluten free menu with five or six different tacos to choose from on corn tortillas. Make sure to tell them it is for a gluten free order. Tacos were very tasty. Carnitas were slightly salty but not terribly so. Would eat here again.
6/14/21: I did just fine with my grilled shrimp tacos and my bean and cheese taco. I enjoyed them. Staff didn’t seem to know a lot about what gluten-free really meant but they tried to work with me and I am not ill.
6/16/21 Update: I ended up with a headache and nausea later Monday evening after eating at Fuzzy’s. The headache/migraine remained all day Tuesday and and on Wednesday morning. Not sure if this was exacerbated by several days of 100 degree heat or not, or if the heat was the cause. Still not quite right.
This Bricktown location is well behind the location near Top Golf when it comes to gluten free. They had a hard time locating their one gluten free menu which was full of chips from the shared fryer, notated with an asterisk. There’s no dedicated fryer.
I asked if the margarita swirl was gf. She asked everyone in the back and everyone said, “I think so.” So I actually called the other location and asked them. After a brief hold they told me no and explained why (the margarita mix they use has gluten in it). I was so thankful and I informed the girl there so they’d know too, though I didn’t get the feeling they care.
4 stars bc I’ll give nothing less if I don’t have a reaction and I didn’t.
Not celiac safe because they aren’t knowledgeable/trained on it.
The girl working the counter seemed like she was unsure of gluten free practices and said that she “thought” it wouldn’t be safe from cross contamination. I’m reluctant to post this review because the location may be safe and it was just the worker i encountered tonight. Either way, as a celiac, i couldn’t take the chance so i did not dine here tonight.
Delicious food with lots of gluten free options, as well as vegetarian for us. Staff was very helpful and friendly even though it was a really busy evening. The line was out the door but moved quickly so don’t be deterred if you see a crowd!
Lots of delicious gluten free options. My favorites from before I found out I had celiac are gf so it is nice to go somewhere and eat what I would normally eat. Friendly service!
This is one of the best restaurants in OKC, and the fact that they have Gluten Free makes it that much better! You can't go wrong with Fuzzy's.
While they do have a gluten free menu they do not seem aware of proper procedures for cross-contamination. Perhaps in some locations they aren't as busy and can properly prepare food but on the random weekday night we went it was insanely busy and ours ended up contaminated. I also asked for my salad to be dairy free and that was not done either. The food was delicious but we will not be back. If you are gluten free as a lifestyle choice then they will be fine for you but if you need to be gluten free for health then I can not recommend them.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The gluten free menu is up front and the starred items are the non dedicated fryers. The cashier let the kitchen know they needed to change their gloves and to be careful. I found a new favorite place!
They have a great menu! Plus have a gluten free menu usually at the front if it's not there you can always ask.
Fantastic! Very knowledgable staff. Warned me of non dedicated fryers before I even asked. I will be going back anytime I am in town.
Went to Fuzzy's Tacos in Bricktown, it was amazing. Quick service, food had a good flavor & they were very knowledgeable about gluten free.
There is a GF menu online which makes ordering extremely easy! Many of their options are already GF or can be requested on corn tortillas instead of flour. Definitely a go to for a quick and delicious dining experience.
So many gf options! And the best chicken tacos I have ever had!
Cross contamination. Does not meet my needs, and they don’t try.
Has GF menu, chips are cooked in dedicated fryer. Had staff double check. Ordered a bowl and had very little meat.
Managers are always knowledgeable!
Clueless staff, no GF menu, thought I’d be ok with telling them corn tortillas and a glove change please. Nope. Avoid all fuzzy at all costs if you’re even somewhat sensitive
