We told them wife had celiac and website said gf options. Staff had no idea what we were talking about. Wife felt ill a little while later. Thinking cross contamination. Not recommended.

go on their website to see GF options. chicken tacos and sides.
DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!! I have Celiac Disease and asked the cashier for a gluten-free menu. They did not know where it is located. So I asked the cashier to go ask a manager or chef to come take my order. The cashier comes back instead and tells me that I can order a beef taco on corn tortilla. When I picked up my order, I confirmed my order since I wasn't having high confidence in the appearance of the food. The CHEF did NOT know what food has gluten. That's a problem if you're working in the kitchen!! As I'm taking my tray to the trash after finishing my dinner, the supervisor walks over to inform me that there is flour in the beef marinade. Sorry doesn't cut it after I ate the food. Flour is poisonous to me and your chef LIED because he is uneducated on what is in the food he is preparing. Don't apologize because it won't change anything - I want to know how this can be prevented so I don't have to be severely sick. The supervisor also did not offer to reimburse me or make me new food - I asked for a refund and it took forever to get my money back too. I am never eating at the Ames location again. Horrible service with uneducated workers!!!

There is supposed to be a dedicated fryer for chips which makes the tortilla chips celiac friendly. I have yet to ask if I could fry potatoes or the crispy tacos separately, but I suppose that could be possible as well. The main things to know is that you can't have the ground beef, shrimp, tempura fish, fajita beef, Latin fried potatoes, crispy tacos, or tortilla strips that go on the salad. The shrimp is cooked in a barley sauce so it is not actually gluten free like they will tell you. Make sure to let them know about any allergy so they can cook the corn tortillas on a separate part of the grill or microwave them. I always tell the cashier I have celiac disease tell them to mark gluten allergy on my items so the kitchen knows. The sangria is not gluten free, but the margaritas are.

A ton of gluten free options! They have an allergen chart on their website that breaks down every single menu item. Chips are corn chips but are unfortunately not fried in a dedicated GF fryer so had to skip those. Grilled steak tacos were amazing.
