Absolutely terrible experience here. There was only one main course marked as “gluten friendly” on the menu, but they advised I was safe to order their steak.
The assured me their steak and fries was gluten-free… “Of course e we can make that for you. There’s no gluten in steak”… “Yes sir, the fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer”.
Despite all that, I was vomiting hours later. I suspect it was seasoning on the fries, unless it was cross contamination when cooking the steak.
This restaurant is in the Sofitel hotel which is owned by Le Accor hotel group. Most restaurants in this hotel group adhere to a strict allergy training program for their employees. So we ate here safe. The server was knowledgeable about what was gf on the menu or if it can be modified to gf and also knew about cross contamination. He doubled checked with the kitchen to inform them of our allergies and verified everything we ordered would be prepared gf. We would dine here again.
