Underwhelmed. I’ve been at the Saskatoon Inn & Conference Centre for a couple of nights for a work event. There are very few GF options on the menu although they do offer GF pizza and one entree is GF. While I’m glad they have GF bread, I must say the food & service has been “meh”. First morning room service for breakfast they didn’t butter the toast and the bacon was undercooked. Their GF hashbrowns are baked from frozen. Next morning I asked for butter on the toast, but they forgot to give me cutlery or jam & peanut butter, which it’s supposed to come with. Bacon undercooked again. They only have salt but not pepper for room service. (??) Lunch yesterday - although the organizer had ordered several GF and vegan meals - instead of indicating what was GF on the buffet (of Mexican food), they brought separate meals. However they didn’t bring enough. I was waiting for 25 mins to get my meal. Lunch break was only 45 and I was the facilitator. Not like this was a big group. Only 35 people in the room. When I did get my meal it was some kind of smoked pork but very dry so they smothered it in bbq sauce. For dinner I had the smoked chicken taco salad. Meh. They used bagged shredded cheese and everything seems slapped together. I will say the smoked chicken was good and the Bailey’s crème brûlée was very good. Overall, not great. Now my flight’s been cancelled and I’m stuck in Saskatoon for another night. I’m having lunch and dinner elsewhere.
