We have been going to gigi's winston salem for 3 years but for the last 6 weeks doesnt matter what time of day we go they have less than 6 gf cupcakes available and wont make more because the new staff is lazy was told today that the head baker is out of the country and they would make any being that they was only open another 2 hours.
Tested the chocolate cupcake with my Nima and it said safe for celiacs! Highly recommend.
Excellent cupcakes! Wouldn’t recommend for those with high sensitivity, as they are not a dedicated gluten free bakery.
Not a dedicated kitchen, but they do try to limit any risk for exposure. They offer gluten FRIENDLY, not gluten free. And they have a disclaimer clearly sitting on the case. We go there every couple of months and have never had any issues.
They clearly state that their cupcakes are NOT CELIAC SAFE, which means they ought not to be labelled gluten free in the first place. It really bugs me that places still get away with this.

I've had a few of these and never been sick. Flourless chocolate is my favorite.
Yes
They have a sign up specifically stating that although they offer gf cupcakes, they do not suggest those with Celiac eat them. They did say gf cupcakes can be ordered in advance and then they would be made first thing in the morning in an attempt to cut down on possible contamination. I haven't decided if I'll try that route yet.
The cupcakes here are okay. I had the GF lemonberry and there was way more icing than cupcake. It was overly sweet and just wasn't anything special. Next time, I plan on trying the peanut butter chocolate. It makes me a little nervous that the GF cupcakes are in an open case with the rest of the gluten cupcakes. My friend got a gluten cupcake and the lady asked if we wanted them in the same box. Apparently they're not too concerned with avoiding cross contamination.
**UPDATE** I did indeed get sick from these cupcakes. They are far from Celiac safe.

It's fun to be able to get cute cupcakes any day. The staff is helpful. We've never been sick from these cupcakes. We don't really like the flavored that aren't the flourless cake-- strange texture. I also don't think the frosting tastes that great. It tastes about like what I expect from canned frosting.

The service here is phenomenal. They are very helpful and give specific instructions about gf if you ask them. I have Celiac Disease and have had cupcakes from here 3 different times, and have never been sick. We just ordered for my little boy's birthday and they were beautiful and delicious. Great place!

They have GF cupcake options that are just as good as the regular, if not a bit more crumbly

Of the three gluten free cupcakes available, the wedding cake is my favorite.
