This cupcake place is not Celiac-friendly. I spoke with a manager a couple of weeks ago, and he said everything is made in the same pans-they just wash them. There is no special care taken to prevent cross-contamination. The manager said if he was me, he wouldn't chance it, which is a shame, because he said their gluten free cupcakes are really, really good. I am disappointed that I won't get to try them. It's always disappointed when some place "gluten free" isn't really for the people who need it.
No
Their gluten free cupcakes are the best I've ever had! They make three different kind of GF cupcakes fresh daily, and their menu for each day is posted online, so you know which day you can get which cupcake. I believe you can also order any flavor as a cake or large order of cupcakes for an event or party, although I haven't done that yet.
I asked for the gluten free torte and was given what looked like a cupcake with chocolate frosting.
Was told by the young cashier that they are very careful to make sure it is gluten free. I took it home to eat... it didn't taste home made. It had that chemical preservative after taste. A couple hours later and I was sick, sick, sick. 😖
