I began eating here before being diagnosed with celiac and loved it. After my diagnosis I was really sad to think we couldn't eat there anymore. But come to find out they offer gluten free pasta. I was still hesitant but we went anyway. Our server started off asking if anyone had food allergies or anything the kitchen should be aware of and I told him celiac/gluten free. He informed me of all the options they could offer. My favorite dish is chicken piccata which usually has flour on the chicken and in the sauce. I asked if there was a way they could make it work and without hesitation he said yes. He came out twice from the kitchen to ask clarifying questions. It took a little longer for our meal to come out but when the server delivered our food he apologized and said the chefs tweaked the recipe to make sure it was celiac safe. I was so excited to know they took my needs seriously and so graciously. It was delicious!! (And no symptoms of contamination!)
We went to the Winter Park location. Not every location has gluten free pizza. Best gluten free crisp crust I’ve ever had! Tastes like regular pizza! Call their location before you go to make sure they have gluten free pizza.
The attempt and sincerity is here. I'm afraid the education and facility is not quite celiac friendly yet. If we lived here would attempt to educate further. Food is good just getting cross contamination. I didn't ask about making sure they cook the gf pasta in its own water. Had gf margerita pizza and gf chicken Verona pasta.
Wow this was awesome! And Italian restaurant with a gluten-free menu. We started with the bruschetta appetizer and really could not tell the crust was GF it was the best crust we have had! My daughter has the Alfredo, I had the shrimp with lemon sauce. After trying the crust I wish I had ordered the pizza pasta was great but the pizza was unbelievable. My daughter did not have any reaction
Wow, just wow. I ordered a gluten free white pizza. Not only did I get no symptoms of cross contamination but the gluten free pizza was the best I've ever tasted. Was also the cheapest! Prices were amazing as well as the food. A party of 3 eating for $30 at an Italian restaurant is unheard of. Definitely recommend!
Beware!!! The advertise GF items including pizza. However use all the same utensils to dress the pizza. When asked, have a limited understanding of why that would be an issue. Kitchen staff seem to have limited training, and less care about the reasons people order or as they put it "choose" GF items.
Sadly not all their locations have the same practice. Lake Nona says it have GF, however use all the utensils to put topping and such on things like pies. If one kitchens staff is not correctly trained, are they all?
I had the gluten free bruschetta pizza and the chicken and veggie pasta dish. It was amazing, service was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We are from out of town but will be back to visit next time we are this way!
Joe is amazing he really cares about giving his customers awesome service! He checked my pizza twice to make sure if I liked it crispy enough!!!!!! The salad was fantastic --the lake Mary location is worth the drive!!
Not bad but today didn't match the previous reviews. We had pizza, steak and cheese, and fettuccine Alfredo. I had a pasta dish with sausage and veggies. Pasta was very tough. Nice people though and will give them another shot soon.
My husband and I came here for lunch and I enjoyed the Pizza Bruschetta and the Pasta Alla Gio Verona sub meat for shrimp. I truly enjoyed my meal here not just for the great food but because I felt very safe. Joe, the owner, ensured us his kitchen staff was trained and knowledgeable and not to worry about anything. The waitress was also very knowledgable which I really appreciate. Definitely recommend and will be heading back soon!
