These guys have excellent food. If you're very sensitive, avoid the dipping oil, but everything else is tasty and I have yet to get sick after several visits. Will be back, for sure.
Great service. Was kinda nervous bc of all the wheat/gluten, dairy etc in the environment. But it was great!! I had a steak sub. It was yummy! Hubby had a sub too and he really liked his. Def recommend! :)
Best gluten free in Pittsburgh. The meatballs are amazing. We eat here regularly, and can't say enough good things. The owner is amazing, and the place just rocks! Highly recommended! Have never had a reaction. Love it!
Excellent service and food ohhh and they have vegan pizza
Pizza was decent. Not too exciting, but they cooked the pizza in tin foil and seemed to take good care to avoid cross contamination. Also had Angry Orchard cider available which was nice. The meal did not cause any symptoms of being exposed to gluten. The pizza also reheated well the day after.
I got so so sick eating here. The waitress rolled her her eyes at me and all of my questions. Contacted manager, he sent me a gift card and told me when I come back, to notify management and they will assure it is prepared properly.
By far best GF restaurant in Pittsburgh. We have been going here almost weekly for about 3.5 years and have never been sick nor disappointed. Many many options including subs, pizza, salads and awesome pasta dishes. My family has made this our number 1 eatery. If you have celiac you MUST give it a whirl. It’s not just the food either, the owner and staff are phenomenal.
This is the best Celiac friendly restaurant I’ve been to in Pittsburgh! Our server was super knowledgeable and helpful in telling me the preparation guidelines to prevent cross contamination. I got my own gluten free garlic bread. The pizza crust was one of the best gf crusts I’ve ever had and the veggie pizza was superb- loaded with red peppers, olives, and spinach in addition to the typical pizza vegetables. I will be back anytime I visit Pittsburgh!
The best gf options in the South Hills, and maybe all of Pittsburgh! They are quick, friendly and generous. Thank you, Fethi and staff!
Love this place. Honestly one of my top 5 GF restaurants. They have so many options to choose from. My personal favorite is their meatballs and the GF garlic bread!!
My gluten-free seven year old was exstatic to get GF garlic bread. She never gets to eat the bread or rolls when we eat out! The pizza and salads were good and the waitress was super nice! Great family pizza place!
The waitress was so friendly and very knowledgeable! Next time I'm in Pittsburgh I'll definitely be going back
The best gluten free pizza we've ever had! And free gf garlic bread while you wait, delicious!
Tons of GF options. After saying hello, first question asked was if anyone had gluten allergy-so nice for me not to have to ask! Menu clearly marked. Brought me separate oil for the most amazing GF garlic bread EVER. bought two loaves to take home. GF pasta very good! Friendly service!!
GF pizza and breadsticks were extremely good. Staff was very knowledgeable and my girlfriend with celiacs was very happy we went here.
Awesome gluten free pizza and hoagies!!!!
I have Celiac disease and stopped here while on vacation. I had their GF pizza. lots of GF options and great care was taken to avoid CC. Pizza was fabulous and they brought out complimentary GF garlic toast which was so good I was afraid it was regular, so I had my friend test to see if it was the same as hers. I usually react to even small CC within an hour but had no issues.
I was happy to have found Giovanni's. My husband, two kids and I all really enjoyed our meal. Our waitress really worked with us (she was happy to research stuff for me), as I have more than just gluten issues. We all left feeling very happy. Their after dinner chocolate was amazing. I waked in thinking hmmm... I walked out thinking yay.
Amazing gluten free selections - pizza, hoagies AND pasta! Their GF pizza is the best I've had so far. If you dine in, they bring you GF garlic bread and separate dipping oil. :-).
I've only tried the gluten-free pizza so far, but it was great! I didn't have any problems with it. It is a thin crust, but I prefer that anyway. I work downtown and needed delivery, and although they don't deliver that far away, the woman that took my order offered to have a special delivery made for me because I needed gluten-free and the downtown location doesn't cater to that. Very impressed. She was very knowledgable, and when I asked about the fries she knew right away that they wouldn't work for me because they only have one fryer.
Pasta is much better than the pizza. Good flavors but super thin pizza
Best GFREE pizza I've had to date. My husband says it's the freshest hoagie ever. He also got the fries and they are hand cut. They brought me GFREE bread to dip and the service was very friendly. Will go back soon and I plan to become a regular patron
I think the owner is paying people for a good reviews because we didn't think the pizza was that great my wife does not have celiacs but eat the gluten free pizza with me that made her sick.
Great pizza! Also great GF chocolates especially GF chocolate covered pretzels! Small dining area but great service and attention to GF needs! Staff is always pleasant and helpful.
Read the other reviews and have to agree! Couldn't decide what to try first! the gluten-free garlic bread was such a treat with awesome dipping sauce. The spinach feta gluten-free pizza was delicious, & pasta with special Alfredo sauce made for us right then was delicious, they had a gf beer too. no symptoms of illness. Waiter very friendly and helpful. Basic pizza place ambience, nothing fancy, but so yummy! Wish I lived in town!
Yummy! The food here is so good. Lots of gluten free choices. This has become our new favorite restaurant. The guy who brought out my hubby's pizza came back out with a second pizza about ten minutes after the first because he (the server) didn't think it looked good enough. Meanwhile it was delicious. I know he is more than a server, I would guess he is one of the owners or managers. But I have never seen a restaurant that cared so much about their food. I will be a regular patron here. They are amazing.
We were thrilled to try this place because of reviews here, but we didn't get a chance to try anything because they could not provide a dairy free option for any of their pastas. They seemed uninformed that half of Celiacs have a dairy allergy too. Their GF offerings would be that much more successful if they could accommodate.
I had an excellent experience. I am an extremely sensitive Celiac and nothing here made me sick! Our server was absolutely wonderful and the food was terrific! Can't wait to go back again!
Excellent food. Every meal comes with gluten free garlic bread. Penne vodka with chicken was very good. Many menu options to choose from.
Great pizza, great menu with lots of pasta and other options. Cozy little place to eat. I highly recommend it!
THIS PLACE WAS SPECTACULAR! My mother is celiac and never gets to enjoy a nice dinner out. The gluten free bread, pizza, and pasta dishes were out of this world!!! She also went home with a box of amazing chocolates. The only thing that could have been better than the food was our waitress. So sweet, so attentive and careful with the gluten free.
Love Love Love this place! So many gluten free choices .... GF pizza is great, GF bread served with oil dipping sauce while waiting for your food ... And the GF pasta - delicious! The GF chicken parm is the best I've ever had - GF or non-GF ... Would never guess it to be! Highly recommend this place .... Owner is super nice also! And now his own homemade chocloates .... Yummy!!!!
What a nightmare! We waited almost an hour for our food and when they brought it out, they brought it out one dish at a time. I received my gluten free pizza 20 minutes before the next dish arrived at our table. The remaining dishes came out about 5 minutes apart and my husband had to ask 5 times for the side of non-gluten-free pasta that came with his chicken dish. After all the waiting and frustration, the GF pasta was delicious and the. GF pizza was ok.
can't rave about this place enough. amazing pizza, pasta, and salads. my son has celiacs and always loves eating here, because they are so accomidating and there are so many choices for g-free eating.
I Love eating here! I get there gluten free pizza and salad with gluten free garlic bread! They also have desert too. I would highly recommend this place!
