I love Giovanni’s! My neighbor, who also has celiac, recommended Giovanni’s to me when I moved to the south hills. Their pizza is delicious and so are their salads! Their customer service is incredible and my orders have always been correct. I will agree with previous reviews saying that the crust is a bit gummy, but the flavor is INCREDIBLE, so it’s worth it to me. Would highly recommend! Have never gotten sick here.

The gluten free pizza was awful. I had to call after getting home with the pizza to ask if it was properly baked because the crust was gummy. It made me super sick, I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I absolutely love this place!! The gluten free pizza is amazing. And the Tuscan chicken salad is the best salad I’ve ever had. I’m super picky about salads and I’m often left disappointed. I am so glad to have found this place. We order from here weekly!!

I have been ordering from Giovannis for several years and have never had an issue, whether I’ve gotten hoagies, pizza, or pasta. I’m a pretty sensitive Celiac. In my mind the best gluten-free option in the South Hills.

I had such high hopes for this place and the food was horrible. The gf pizza crust was the worst I’ve tasted by far, and I’ve tried a lot of gf pizza.

In the midst of COVID so carry out only. I read the rave reviews yet was a bit leery upon arrival. Not fancy. However, they clearly know what they’re doing because my meatball sub was delicious. $12, but it must’ve weighted 2 lbs and I saved half for later. Bonus! Since we were passing through and no dine in we ate at Dormont Park just 3 min from the restaurant. Pavilion w/picnic tables.

These guys have excellent food. If you're very sensitive, avoid the dipping oil, but everything else is tasty and I have yet to get sick after several visits. Will be back, for sure.

Pizza was decent. Not too exciting, but they cooked the pizza in tin foil and seemed to take good care to avoid cross contamination. Also had Angry Orchard cider available which was nice. The meal did not cause any symptoms of being exposed to gluten. The pizza also reheated well the day after.

I got so so sick eating here. The waitress rolled her her eyes at me and all of my questions. Contacted manager, he sent me a gift card and told me when I come back, to notify management and they will assure it is prepared properly.

By far best GF restaurant in Pittsburgh. We have been going here almost weekly for about 3.5 years and have never been sick nor disappointed. Many many options including subs, pizza, salads and awesome pasta dishes. My family has made this our number 1 eatery. If you have celiac you MUST give it a whirl. It’s not just the food either, the owner and staff are phenomenal.

This is the best Celiac friendly restaurant I’ve been to in Pittsburgh! Our server was super knowledgeable and helpful in telling me the preparation guidelines to prevent cross contamination. I got my own gluten free garlic bread. The pizza crust was one of the best gf crusts I’ve ever had and the veggie pizza was superb- loaded with red peppers, olives, and spinach in addition to the typical pizza vegetables. I will be back anytime I visit Pittsburgh!

I have Celiac disease and stopped here while on vacation. I had their GF pizza. lots of GF options and great care was taken to avoid CC. Pizza was fabulous and they brought out complimentary GF garlic toast which was so good I was afraid it was regular, so I had my friend test to see if it was the same as hers. I usually react to even small CC within an hour but had no issues.

I was happy to have found Giovanni's. My husband, two kids and I all really enjoyed our meal. Our waitress really worked with us (she was happy to research stuff for me), as I have more than just gluten issues. We all left feeling very happy. Their after dinner chocolate was amazing. I waked in thinking hmmm... I walked out thinking yay.

I've only tried the gluten-free pizza so far, but it was great! I didn't have any problems with it. It is a thin crust, but I prefer that anyway.

I work downtown and needed delivery, and although they don't deliver that far away, the woman that took my order offered to have a special delivery made for me because I needed gluten-free and the downtown location doesn't cater to that. Very impressed. She was very knowledgable, and when I asked about the fries she knew right away that they wouldn't work for me because they only have one fryer.

Best GFREE pizza I've had to date. My husband says it's the freshest hoagie ever. He also got the fries and they are hand cut. They brought me GFREE bread to dip and the service was very friendly. Will go back soon and I plan to become a regular patron

Read the other reviews and have to agree! Couldn't decide what to try first! the gluten-free garlic bread was such a treat with awesome dipping sauce. The spinach feta gluten-free pizza was delicious, & pasta with special Alfredo sauce made for us right then was delicious, they had a gf beer too. no symptoms of illness. Waiter very friendly and helpful. Basic pizza place ambience, nothing fancy, but so yummy! Wish I lived in town!

Yummy! The food here is so good. Lots of gluten free choices. This has become our new favorite restaurant. The guy who brought out my hubby's pizza came back out with a second pizza about ten minutes after the first because he (the server) didn't think it looked good enough. Meanwhile it was delicious. I know he is more than a server, I would guess he is one of the owners or managers. But I have never seen a restaurant that cared so much about their food. I will be a regular patron here. They are amazing.

We were thrilled to try this place because of reviews here, but we didn't get a chance to try anything because they could not provide a dairy free option for any of their pastas. They seemed uninformed that half of Celiacs have a dairy allergy too. Their GF offerings would be that much more successful if they could accommodate.
