Given a dish with chow mein noodles on it, told it was celiac friendly. Didn’t eat it, knowing that was unlikely. Ended up with raging diarrhea & horrible stomach pain, despite following meticulously the “celiac-specific” menu I was provided. Clearly not celiac friendly.

Had dinner here and it was great. They did mark off a significant part of the menu because I have celiacs and a lot of the sauces had soy sauce. We ended up ordering the chickpea fritters, green beans, short rib empanadas (nightly special), goat empanadas, and the pig face. Everything was amazing and no issues afterwards.

When you make a reservation you can select food restrictions on there which meant there was already a gf menu at the table waiting for me. The menu tiers things as well in terms of necessity of avoiding even cross-contamination. However, after selecting the empanadas based on the menu the waiter told me that they use a separate driver but that a different group uses the kitchen during the daytime so no promises. I feel like this is an area for improvement: either require the other group to follow the same practice and not fry gluten in a specific fried, or don't bother. Do humans sometimes break rules? Sure, but that could happen anywhere anytime regardless of who was in the kitchen.
Otherwise food was delicious. I didn't end up having any issues for what it's worth!

What an amazing experience and what a delicious GF meal we had! Our server was very knowledgeable about celiac and there is a separate GF menu which is very similar to the regular menu. All items were marked with a wooden toothpick to identify the dish as GF.the majority of the table was not GF and they all enjoyed the GF plates we ordered. The pork shank, halibut and salmon poke were highlights and some of our favorite dishes. The drinks were phenomenal and the vibe was super fun and upbeat. Loved the decor too. Highly recommend this place for GF dining!

I’ve been watching Chef Steph since she won Top Chef and have been wanting to get to this restaurant for as long. We finally got here and it did not disappoint! It exceeded every expectation I had.
Neighborhood has a great energy and world cuisine vibe. Young and hip, but not pretentious. The restaurant itself is very much the same. Great music playing, but not so loud you can’t have a conversation. The kitchen is open and there are even 2 two-top bar seating areas at either end of the pass.
The food! There’s a separate GF menu. All the dishes change seasonally. The night we dined, I noted there were only two things on the regular menu that weren’t on the GF menu. I felt so included! The menu also makes suggestion on a few items to avoid due to possible contamination - oddly, not the fried items. I forgot to ask about a dedicated fryer, but I’m thinking there must be one.
We started with the salmon poke and chickpea fritters. The salmon was light and delicious. The shaved asparagus was a great reminder of spring. Chef’s infamous chili crunch added great flavor and texture to the dish. The fritters were unexpected. Chickpea is several forms: puréed and shaped into the cube fritters, roasted for a more substantial bite and made into a hummus to schmear everything around. There were several other delectable bits that I don’t remember what, but it all worked in delicious harmony.
For our next course we opted for the also infamous green beans, goat empanadas and roasted pig face. The green beans are the one menu item that I’m told never changes and I can see why. Roasted green beans tossed in an umami filled fish sauce vinaigrette and then topped with another, creamier sauce… the flavor just hits every note.
The goat empanadas were a must. I mean, it is Girl & the Goat, right? The empanadas came with a plantain garnish that played dry and dense. However, when taking a bite of plantain with the empanadas, it all worked well. The wetness of the goat filling landed on the denseness of the plantain to make a great bite.
The roasted pig face… what can I say? It was a small stack of roasted cheek with crispy potato sticks, topped with a sunny side up egg. Diners are encouraged to cut up the egg and mess everything together, which is exactly what we did. Sooooo rich! The cheek was well rendered making the fat just all melt and unbelievable. The potato sticks sopped up the goodness and gave a nice crunch. And the rose I was drinking was the perfect acidic complement to cut through the richness.
At this point we were stuffed. There were still other things we wanted to try but couldn’t eat another bite.
Jack, the bartender was very knowledgeable and an absolute delight to chat with all evening.

When introducing herself, the waitress asked if there were any allergies. I said I had a severe gluten allergy and immediately she asked if it was celiac. She then brought over a gluten free menu and had crossed out items that were not celiac safe due to cross contamination. There were a few dishes where the sauce contained gluten so that came out separately. Had so much food and it was all incredible. It was served tapas style so got to try many things. Didn’t get sick. Would highly recommend

Amazing meal. Outstanding. They brought out a special gluten free menu for me and then told me which items on their regular meal could also be made gf. The server was really knowledgeable about gf.

Went here for a work event with a pre-set menu. The waiter was very knowledgeable and brought me gluten free variations for each dish and even swapped in an alternative for a couple dishes that couldn’t be made gluten free.

The food was good, but a lot. It was the first time we had gone there, and the waiter kept saying we need to order more, even though we really didn’t. The GF menu was weird. Not only we’re there things that weren’t safe for celiac, there were things that actually had gluten soy sauce in them. This meant they weren’t GF. It confused me a lot.

Lots of GF items and was very excited! The food is to die for fabulous. Then I was sick all night. I’m not terribly sensitive so Celiac’s beware & ask questions!
I walked in knowing they had a gluten free menu, but was shocked to find almost every item on the regular menu was available. The food, service, and atmosphere were all phenomenal. I couldn't say more great things. Ask for Hannah if you ever drop by, she has an in depth knowledge of the menu and understands anyone with celiac.

They do not have a dedicated prep area for gluten-free meals and do not have dedicated pots, pans or utensils.

The staff was really great about trying to make sure I didn't get sick. Unfortunately, I did feel slightly ill after eating here. In their defense, I did eat raw meat because it sounded like a good idea at the time. Something to consider. On a side note, it was 91$ per person. Super expensive!
gluten free menue options were availabsle and wait staff was knowledgeable. Food was fabulous.

Had a very pleasant experience. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. I didn't have any contamination issues. The GF menu is not 100% completely Celiac friendly so you have to be specific about your allergy.
The food is good. But this place is not celiac friendly. I got sick from my main dish and it was apparently cooked on the grill. I made sure to tell them it was a very very serious allergy as I am extremely sensitive even for a celiac. Fish is so easy to cook in a pan... The fact they cooked it on a grill even though I said cross contamination was a big problem is not acceptable. If you are gluten free though or celiac but not incredibly sensitive to cross contamination they do have a gluten free menu and it is rather good.

they were great with my allergies and celiac. everything was labeled on the menu, which made me feeling more confident about ordering. the beet salad was delicious as was the bread. true celiac options were limited, but I left satisfied.

Might be fine if you are just gluten free, but l am also seed and nut free. They are very knowledgeable, but I just felt like they cobbled my meal together. Scallop dish was good but too salty. Beef tounge dish was overcooked, dry and chewy with soggy chips making up most of the dish. I was with many people and could not try anything else because everything had some kind of nut in it. A very expensive meal to be so disappointed. ...
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been once an they are very accommodating. Even many of the fried items used GF flour. Many great options here.
Limited options but what they have available is really good! Chefs and waiters are very knowledgable and friendly! I didn't get sick from them, which is a HUGE plus!
If you're sensitive to cross-contamination, the options are a little bit limited, but what I was able to have was very good. Really cool place, but get there early because it's a very popular place.

Great bread, very informed servers, and felt good after. I will be going back soon and have gone to her other location Little Goat multiple times and had great food.
