First time going to this restaurant. Love that everything is marked if it can be made GF. Staff was wonderful at my allergy, they answered all my questions. The food was very good. I love that I could get fish and chips because I have not found a restaurant in the burbs that accommodates that. Will be coming back

The staff and good are so amazing! The food changes with seasons and local markets, for variety and gourmet options. The desserts are also seasonal which I appreciate! There is a dedicated gluten free kitchen and the staff are allergy aware and friendly.

Can’t speak of the food. We went there and it was closed. Supposedly they changed their hours and do not open until 4pm on Saturdays. So make sure to call and double check that they are actually open.
Everything on their menu can be made gluten free. And the man it in a separate section of the kitchen. Our meals were outstanding.

Tons of gf options. My dinner companions were able to enjoy glutenous options and I was content with everything from gf bread and butter at the beginning of the meal down to gf dessert to finish! I made a note that I had celiac in my reservation, and the waitress instantly confirmed which of us needed gf options once we sat down.
I had the short ribs, which were delicious and tender. My husband enjoyed the pesto skirt steak. The corn soup was absolutely delicious and seasonally satisfying, but my husband enjoyed the French onion which was also gf, and still came with a crouton on top!
Highly recommend!

A gluten free haven! Virtually everything on the menu can be made gluten free and I have never had a reaction. Make sure to mention gluten free for an allergy when you order. Great variety, delicious food, friendly service, and no reaction afterwards - a celiac’s dream!

They have lots of gluten free options, but even after letting them know I'm celiac I still got sick. My best guess is there was some cross contaminate somewhere!

They had a great menu from appetizers to dessert. It was nice to have a menu where most items were gluten free or could be made gluten free. Usually, it’s only a few items. Great service, knowledgeable staff, nice atmosphere.

I've now had Glen Prarie 4x and have only good things to say. We have tried the Glen Prarie Burger, Cobb s alad, cookie sundae, ice cream, pork chop, Mac n cheese, fish and chips and duck and all have been amazing. It's so rare to find a great gluten free burger and with this one you wouldn't even know it's gf. They have a dedicated fryer and let's just say their fries SLAP. So good. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. They take the time to ensure everything you are eating is safe and didnt mind explaining their protocols to me. I will be returning often and recommend you do as well.

Update: was severely glutened.
Bad bad service. Slow. The waitress let us know they burnt our mac and cheese but did not offer to comp. Food was okay. The best part was feeling I could order most on the menu. The service was so poor that we won't be back. There are other establishments with better food and service that are safe closer to home.

I am GF, Dairy Free and Egg free. The shrimp was great even without the dipping sauce. The staff was fantastic about helping us order DF and the food was great!! We had the Ahi tuna poke bowl with out the sauce and braised short ribs with fires instead of mashed potatoes. Soo good!!

Unbelievable!! You know you are totally safe eating here. The food is great and the staff fantastic.

So so good!!! Almost everything is GF! As soon as we sat down the server asked if anyone had a gluten allergy. They brought out gf bread before dinner! I had cheese curds for an appetizer and the pulled pork over Mac &cheese!!! I can’t wait to go back!!

So many excellent gluten free choices! This is such a special restaurant, as it has plenty to appeal to both kids and adults as well as gluten eaters and gluten free eaters alike. The drink/wine list is great and the servers were helpful and knowledge. And best of all, no one got glutened. We will definitely be back!
Oh my gosh this place was so good! They were very attentive and took my needs seriously. I got to have fish and chips and macaroni and cheese - two things I rarely get to eat! I am very sensitive and didn’t get sick. I’d definitely recommend.

Be aware, as with any restaurant, you should be on your toes. I was served a regular, gluten containing bun with my cheeseburger even after ordering gluten free and explaining that I have celaic disease. Fortunately I didn't take a bite and recognized it right away. They took the situation seriously. I do believe Glen Prairie takes gluten free very seriously, but this was a reminder that communication is key no matter where you are and that mistakes can happen.
An unfortunate update to my previous 5-Star review. Started with the corn-flakes within their corn flake French Toast containing gluten (this is an apparent switch in ingredients as it is listed on the menu as gf). This was followed by “fresh baked” gf bread on our sandwich which was sold as an improvement but was dry and took away from the once outstanding Chicken and Avocado sandwich (this is with a four dollar up charge for any gf substitution). To top it all off they served fake maple syrup which might be expected at Egg Harbor but at least Egg Harbor is honest about it and offers an option to purchase the real stuff (you know without high fructose corn syrup); I asked to see the packaging for the “real” maple syrup and they refused giving me a phone number to their supplier local foods. An embarrassing display that is falls far short of my previous experiences; it was explained that updates to the menu were being made, I certainly hope they choose to continue the tradition of excellence that once defined this gem.
Update: maple syrup was real but French toast was still a compromise (no corn flakes) along with sub par gf pancakes (especially with a $4 up-charge)
Excellent food. Excellent service. We've been here only twice so far. I have a gluten allergy; my husband doesn't. We have both enjoyed the food, and we're looking forward to trying more dishes on our next several visits. The couple seated next to us ordered the Cubano sandwich (gf). The bread on it alone looked delicious. I've had the Eggs Benedict and the almond crusted halibut. Both gluten free. Both incredible. And the gluten free cookie with ice cream and salted caramel.... I'd go back for that alone. Highly recommend.

They asked if anyone had a "gluten allergy" before we even sat down. I had the Amish chicken and it was good, no reaction! The two people with me did not order gf and they said their meals were OK just not great. But 5 stars for a celiac safe meal!
Yes
AMAZING!!! Almost all of their menu is either naturally GF or can be modified to be GF. They have a separate GF fryer and dedicated GF/allergy prep space in the kitchen. I have a dairy allergy in addition to celiac and they wonderfully accommodated both and I had no reactions. My boyfriend and I love this place. The Jambalaya and hummus with GF pita are a MUST!
Yes
HUGE list of options, as almost every item is GF or can be made GF. They have a dedicated fryer. The menu is seasonal. The current menu has deep fried cheese curds and fish and chips made with a GF beer batter. I never thought I’d be able to eat these items again. The steaks and seafood are off course phenomenal. Very knowledgeable about GF. I’ve never been sick in all the times I’ve been there. Best restaurant for GF people in the western burbs.
Fantastic GF menu! GF bread basket and almost everything on the menu could be made GF. Asked if i had an allergy or just preference. I really enjoyed knowing I wouldn’t get sick. I’ll be back for sure!
Now serving gluten free fried cheese curds!!!!
This restaurant is the best gf restaurant I've been to. GF everything! Fries, fri r d shrimp, barbecue, macaroni, and more.

Really good a ton of gluten free options, they bring out gluten free bread and butter to start the meal and even have gluten free fried foods including fish and chips. It was incredible can't wait to go back.

I stopped in on a Friday for dinner and was told they can usually only accomodate people with reservations from about 5-7 PM on Fridays & Saturdays. Since there were only 2 of us, they were able to fit us in at the bar. Everything was really good! I thought the portion sizes might be small, but they were huge (I shouldn't have filled up on the gluten free bread before the meal). Just be aware that you might need to have reservations for Friday/Saturday evenings.

OMG! To happy to find this amazing gluten friendly restaurant! We will come here often. Server Liz was excellent.
