This is a wonderful place. Just be aware that they are now closed on J St. They are relocating to a new space in Oak Park. They will have a café in addition to the grocery. The cafe will be called Roots. I can't wait!!

Melanie and her staff are awesome! They go above and beyond to help their customers. I especially love that I can place special orders with her for GF bakery items from Oakland's Mariposa Bakery!!! Just a wonderful place with amazing GF food and terrific people!

This grocery store is amazing, and the staff are so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! I love the old school small corner store feel that allows us to have a personal relationship with the staff. They are now a part of my family's life

Walking through this store was like walking in gluten free heaven! How exciting to have a place to shop where I can eat anything on the shelves! No need to Google any new product the way I have to do in a regular store. I will definitely be returning here!

Melanie is fantastic and a wealth of knowledge! I started out here when I was first diagnosed and come back all the time when I need recipe advice or just want to check out the new offerings.

Great store! They always have the latest and best GF products, along with some DF and vegan options. Discount for frequent fliers, and a discount day for Sac State students. Down the street from my internship, so I'm there on a weekly basis. They carry great products from local vendors and national ones too, like New Grains, Udi's, Miglet's Bakery, Mariposa Bakery, and Kerry's Sweet Decadence. Mel also stocks the store with seasonal items for the different holidays.

great, friendly service...even for those of us that have not been gluten free very long. tons of products to choose from...from dressings and gravy mixes go cupcakes and granola...just about everything you can imagine..only gluten free :) ...also cater to lactose free and vegan and nut free etc. awesome place.

Wow, the store has added new products. Everyone should go in. As more products come into the market, they also get added to the store.

Just last week I noticed that they now carry Mrs. Mays products. They are delicious and safe for those of us with many different food issues..gluten, soy, lactose, beans, etc.

I love to go in and see what is new and hard to find around town. This store will probably have it!

I had written a previous review to respond to the June 25 review by Honor...I do not seriously understand these comments. All stores in the state of California are required by law to provide nutrition facts including calories and ingredients. All products at this store have these items. When I first started shopping at this store in the end of July 2012, I had been put on a very strict diet. I didn't understand the diet like I now do, so I had to carry the list. The store employees where always there to help me read the ingredients on all of the packages to help me find some food to eat. I was learning how to eat without gluten and without all of the other foods.

The owner has always been very helpful with providing me information herself as well as where to look to perform research myself on gluten intolerance as well as my other medical issues. Her staff have always been the most helpful and curious I have ever encountered.

Have you heard this store has fresh bread and bakery products landing on Thursday and Friday afternoons? They even have sourdough bread!!!

One of the best stores in Sacramento to get gluten free products. The prices are good and you will find a lot of products not usually found at most markets like Whole Foods. One of my favorite products is the Canyon Bakehouse breads. Most of the time they also have Miglets Bakery, Zest Bakery, and Mariposa products in stock. Melanie and her staff are very nice and knowledgable as well!

The owner of this shop is extremely gluten intolerant (like me) and tarted the shop as a way to get food for herself and share all she has learned. She does carry a wide variety, so not everything is good for the extremely gluten intolerant, but the selection is great enough that you will find what you are looking for. When she is working she is more than happy to share her knowledge and point you towards the right foods. Love this place...it is a little expensive but it is all gluten free!
