A very meh experience here. The corporate website says they have all this gluten-free stuff but in reality they do not. They do not have gluten-free pancakes or waffles,And the waiter did not seem to know a lot about gluten-free.He said they had a gluten-free Bagel but when he brought it out it smelled and felt too much like real wheat for me to even consider eating it. I would not trust this place at all
— Not at all

I’m celiac, always have severe reactions, even to cross contamination, and I’ve shockingly been able to eat here for years. I only order the veggie omelet, I definitely wouldn’t trust the bagels or pancakes, way too much cross contamination. The omelette is made in its own pan and goes directly on the plate.
So happy to find this wonderful breakfast spot while traveling in Atlanta. I am gluten free and looking for a bagel with homemade cream cheese. I went in and the gentlemen told me they were out of gf bagels but the trick just came in. He took the time to go get them off the truck. What customer service!
While the gf bagels are Udi’s brand the cream cheese is awesome! I had the strawberry (picture attached). Very reasonable for the price! Would definitely go back. Some of the friendliest people and you are well taken care of. I picked up at the counter but would go back to sit down.
They offer gluten free options but the kitchen staff is clearly not trained for safety. My server noticed they did not change their gloves for my meal as she had requested so she had them redo. (That I really appreciated!) Unfortunately I received my meal much later and the salad had croutons on it. While they offered to make another one (much quicker they said) at that point I figure it is just too risky and I left without eating. They just don't know what they are doing here so would not recommend for celiac diners.
No
I agree with what others have said about cross contamination. Furthermore, the pancakes are meh or meh+ at best
No
They offer gluten free options but are not equipped to prepare foods gluten free. They are not a gluten free facility. I have celiac and the gluten free pancakes made me sick.
No
many gluten free options. very tasty gf bagels, waffles, pancakes, etc. my fave is the bagel with nova. be sure to tell them your specific needs including changing gloves, clean pan, not toasted, etc. I go there all the time and never had an issue. I am gluten intolerant. my friend with celiac has gone there once when visiting and enjoyed it and had no problems.
Great that they have the options, but the bread is toasted with regular bread
Fabulous gluten free choices! Buns were soft and delicious! Menu states that fries are GF, but are not due to shared oil- however, SO happy to find this gluten free option at The Avalon!
The gluten free bagel was ok. I don't think I'd get it again. I'm new to this whole gluten-free thing so I'm not sure how it is in comparison to other alternatives. Not bad overall. And I am excited to see waffles and pancakes on their menu.
Thank you Goldberg's for offering gluten free now (Dec 2014) The gluten-free bagel is fabulous! I had to confirm with the waiter the kitchen got the order correct. They also have gluten-free pancakes, waffles, sandwich bread or buns that I will come back to try. The waiter said all gluten-free items are made by their staff (not another food co). Possible cross-contamination in kitchen. So happy to hear this great deli is offering gluten-free.
