I emailed ahead of time and a very nice chef replied with their gluten free options on the buffet and stated to let them know when we got there and a chef would come take our order and prepare it separately in the back so we could avoid cross-contamination from the breakfast buffet. We informed our waitress who I think forgot to tell the chef to come see us. Everyone else was almost finished with their breakfast by the time the chef came out after asking a 2nd time to see the chef. In the meantime we had several waitresses tell us there were gluten free items labeled on the buffet. We tried to explain about cross contamination. Finally, the chef that I had emailed with came out and she took our order, cooked it in the back, and then brought it out for us. She was very kind and knowledgeable, but I couldn't say that for everyone. My son did say that gluten free waffles were pretty good.
They used to be amazing at catering to my husband with celiac disease. The last two visits have fallen way short. last time the chef made him a special dessert. Half way thru she came back and said she accidently used regular Graham crachers. He was not happy! This time, at breakfast, the chef came to the table. He said he had celiac disease and she asked what is that? I asked for another chef bc that made us uneasy and the manager came and said was just a language barrier Ok, well send a higher up that knows common food allergies please!
Visited the Wood Fire Grill. They asked before we were seated if there were any allergies. Chef Ryan came out to speak with me about options and offered to make my fries in a separate pan with clean oil to avoid CC. They were good! They did have GF buns for the burger, but it was very dry and crumbly. I wasn’t sick at all after, so I’m glad we tried it.
We ate pizza from the restaurant near the pool and at the breakfast buffet. We did not have issues with either location. They seemed to have good procedures in place. My son has celiac, so the chef came out to talk to us. They made him waffles in a separate area. They also asked which other items he wanted and that was brought from the back to avoid cross contamination.
We went here with the hopes of gluten free options for the little one (she is celiac). The staff was very helpful when it came to option, BUT the Wood Fire Grill (the main option) no longer sells food. The main dinner and breakfast (and only) options are a buffet , which we couldn’t guarantee or verify cross contamination.
The pizza place is the exception and takes very good care about the GF pizza and is was very very good! They even have a dedicated spot for the making of this pizza.
This is a great place for celiacs! Every restaurant has gf options. The chef comes out and will walk through the options. In the Wood Fire Grill they use rice flour as their prep flour, greatly reducing even the possibility of cross-contamination. Fryers are safe as well. We had breakfast in the Loose Moose Buffet. Chef walked through the buffet line with us and then made a gf waffle (in a dedicated waffle iron) and pan fried some potatoes. Even the pizza place has gf options. By the way, the food is also delicious. Highly recommend!
