They say they have a separate cooking area but show no evidence of celiac safe practices. Very limited menu and over priced.

The staff was excellent when addressing the needs of our celiac granddaughter. The only downside was that there were no gluten free snacks available within the park itself. But, every staff member seemed well trained and knowledgeable about food allergies and celiac. We ate at the on site restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. We also got ice cream on site after dinner. They took the time to get a clean scooper from a new tub of ice cream to ensure no cross contamination. Bonus: the food was good!

We were able to order GF chicken tenders and fries made in a dedicated fryer. GF buns also available. Only the upstairs restaurant has access to the GF fryer (not the pool area eatery), but we were able to order to go and take it down to the pool. Everything tasted great and my daughter (celiac) had no reactions.

VERY safe for allergies. Got a burger and fries that were very safe. Even brought my food out separately with gloves on!

We contacted the executive chef ahead of time to discuss what options there are for someone who has celiac disease. We were told that they have gluten free pasta, gf buns, and gf flour on hand so that most anything can be made gluten free. We were also told the fryer has never had gluten in it. My daughter had buttered noodles and french fries, and we made sure the waiter knew it needed to be gluten free. He even brought out an allergy binder for us to review, but overall he seemed unsure of how gluten free meals were prepped and handled. Three hours later and she was vomiting. She spent the rest of the night throwing up. She’s 9 and a trip to the waterpark was supposed to be her Christmas gift. Instead she had an awful night. After speaking with management and the executive chef the next morning, it was determined that they gave her regular noodles. We were supposed to have been given an allergy card to fill out while ordering and that was never offered to us. Six years of being gluten free and this was our first restaurant glutening, third glutening overall. They were apologetic. I asked them to take her meal off our bill and to re-train employees. They ended up taking off all of our meals which was nice but our main goal is not letting this happen to other kids. We ended up picking up food from Meijer for lunches in our room, and going to the Outback next door for dinner.

Camp Critter Grill had amazing GF food safely prepped! OMG what a lifesaver on our trip. Delicious and celiac safe!! I recommend the steak, vegetables, and loaded baked potato! ๐

You can definitely eat safely here, but only in the main restaurant. The pizza place, ice cream parlor, candy shop, and poolside cafe are off limits and offer nothing to accommodate you. My daughter was very disappointed because based on previous reviews, thought she would be able to enjoy everything just like all the other kids. Unfortunately not. The main restaurant was very good though, and we felt safe, and staff was kind and helpful. 3 stars because I felt it was not as advertised on the GWL website or other places I’ve seen them interviewed/ blogged about online.

The staff was SUPER Helpful! They even had Gluten free fried onions. They are amazing! I even asked for extra because they were sooooooooooooooo Good! I had the GF brisket sandwiches and my wife had GF Honey Chicken. Both were amazing!!!!!!!!! We would go back and eat there even if we were at the water park.
Staff is very knowledgeable and very careful. They delivered my dinner with gloves on and had me fill out a slip of paper for the chef. They will have the chef come talk to you if needed, but lots of GF options no matter where you are here. The sweet potato fries are shoestring and amazing btw!!!

We were given a regular menu and told to order whatever we wanted and they would make it gluten free for us in their dedicated kitchen area. So far everything has been great!

I couldn’t be happier with our stay. Myself and my 8 year old are celiac. We had supper at the buffet last night and I was both hopeful because of the reviews I’d seen but also skeptical because it’s a buffet. At the front when you are greeted they ask how many in your party and any allergies. I told them we were celiac. She wrote it down and seated us. Minutes later the sous chef came out and took us on a tour of the buffet and showed us what we could eat. And anything we couldn’t he described how he could make it safely out back and bring to our table as a ready to order meal. I almost cried. We were in our glee. Between the two of us we had ribs, chicken, steak and gravy, fries and gravy, pepperoni pizza, veggies, creme brulee, cupcakes, ice cream. There were seafood dishes, chilli, custard, jello and other stuff there we could have but we couldn’t manage to try everything. We tried. ๐ Breakfast didn’t have quite as many options but it had lots. Yogurt, fruit, beans, gluten free bread, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, omelettes, he made us safe pancakes in the back and brought it to the table. The only issue I had was he told us the Lucky Charms were gluten free. I explained why they still weren’t safe for us and I don’t think he agreed. But neither of us wanted cereal anyway lol My daughter kept telling me ‘you have to tell everyone about this place! There was so much! Usually we can only pick one or two things! But here I can have anything! Can we move here?’

Chef came out to talk to us before breakfast and dinner at the buffet. Offered to cook gluten free meals in the back if there wasn’t enough at the buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the food was delicious. Baked gluten free pizza for us for lunch. The only drawback was that there was no dedicated fryer. A wonderful holiday and great eating experience!

I was very specific with our waitress about my celiac diagnosis. The chef came to the table and personally guaranteed a gluten free meal. He took extra precautions and discussed them with me when he delivered the meal also. I had the chili lime chicken bowl and it was filling along with delicious!

They were great with our 7yo celiac. Pizza, fries (separate fryer), buns, pancakes, and more! The sit down restaurants send the chef out to the table and talk about the gf food.

Based on other reviews, I asked the staff if I could bring my own food in so I could eat with my family because they wanted to eat at the hotel. They got the manager, and she told me they take allergies very seriously and have a seperate kitchen. I told her about the bad reviews I saw on this site and she said to always ask for and order with a manager. I ate both dinner and breakfast (they will make you seperate food if you ask. I wouldn't trust the buffet) here and didn't get sick.
That being said, I had ordered a roasted chicken breast with au jus, with mashed potatoes, and a vegtable (what was listed GF on the menu) and instead got a deep friend chicken breast/thigh chunk and French fries. The manager was so nice and said she was watching them make it so I didn't get sick, and that they fried the chicken and fries in a seperate pot of oil to be safe. But, also I didn't order fried chicken and fries and wish I would have known about the substitutiins ahead of time.
