No measures are taken to avoid cross contamination. The kitchen space is very small and since this restaurant makes homemade flour tortillas, we were told that there is flour all over the kitchen. After we told the manager that my family and I were celiac the manager advised that we eat somewhere else. This was disappointing because the menu looked delicious and everything appears to be homemade.

*is cash only* - bank is near by, though.
Had the mahi mahi tacos, they were very tasty. Sadly, as reported by another poster, flour tortillas are made in house so cc risk can be high, as confirmed by our server - they did check with the manager. Some items on the gf menu also have disclaimers that they may contain wheat or have soy sauce.
Took the risk, and I'm feeling it today. If you're on the sensitive side, I'd skip it.

While they have a dedicated gluten free menu when i described celiac they said fryer is fully cross contaminated. The flour tortillas are made in house with full risk of flour in air contacting all food. I was unable to eat the tacos safely and was recommended one dish - the shrimp curry that did not require any fry pan as safe option. Was delicious, just not the gluten free option I was expecting. I’ll

They have clear GF options and would answer questions. Place is very busy and food is good, but overpriced, and that’s saying something for GF options in Costa Rica. Only takes cash.

I was so happy to return here after being away for four years! I've been dreaming about the Mahi Mahi tacos and they didn't disappoint! They had a separate gluten free menu!

This restaurant has a gluten free menu with many options, but it definitely isn’t designed for Celiacs. They do not have a separate frier, but many of the “gluten free” items are made in the frier, including items that aren’t obvious. For example, the Buddha bowl has butter nut squash that upon inquiry is fried in the frier. They were nice and the server did understand that Celiac is not a preference but more serious. She went back and forth quite a few times to check on items and I settled on something that worked, but it was obvious that the menu couldn’t be trusted for Celiacs.

I had a really yummy salad and the fact that they have a separate GF menu was awesome! Only issue was that their mahi-mahi did give one of us some stomach problems-I thought it smelled off and was glad I pushed mine to the side of my plate! The house hot sauce is to die for.

Big gluten free menu and staff was very knowledgeable. They warned me of the chips which go into the same fryer as wheat foods. Good food, good atmosphere. Side note, they only accept cash.
