What a treat to order pizza with my gluten eating husband and have just as delicious a pie as him! The pizzas were so good, the sauce was fresh and delicious. They even had DF mozzarella cheese & GF beer. Unfortunately, no DF desserts. I’d recommend making a reservation. Friendly service.
This is an amazing chain that offers both gluten and gluten free pizzas. The restaurants offering gluten free are called Grosso Napoletano Senza Glutine and are completely gluten free- they often have a big neon sign reading “No Gluten Yes Party”!
The food is AMAZING!!! Go here… the pizza is hands down the best and the dough is chewy and crispy like true Italian pizza. You cannot tell it’s gluten free!
Must have in Madrid. Make sure to go to the GF one though. They have gluten on the regular restaurants.
Literally the best pizza I’ve had, couldn’t even tell it was GF! It sounded like they also have a regular version in a different kitchen if you’re with other people who don’t want GF but honestly my spouse loved it just the same! Affordable, delicious, and great wine. Also had dairy free cheese as an upgrade
Wonderful place, great atmosphere. If you, sadly, don’t speak Spanish, ask for English menu. Food was amazing! So nice to not have to worry about Gluten!
Dedicated GF restaurant. Probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had, GF or not. Simply amazing!
Bear in mind that they have many locations in Madrid and other Spanish cities but only the "Senza glutine" restaurants are GF.
Best gluten free pizza I had. My sister was not able to find difference between this gluten free pizza and normal. Fully 100% gluten free restaurant. Recommend ! 💜☺
100% gluten free. Very large menu with lots of options. I had the pizza with the pumpkin cream sauce which was so unique and tasty. The crust was wonderful — crispy yet soft. I could have had a pizza with just the crust and nothing on it!
Lugar muito agradável, o Calzone e o Tiramisu estavam deliciosos. O preço é justo e o atendimento muito bom também.
Delicious! Even my gluten eating partner loved the pizza.
Best gluten free pizza I have had since I was diagnosed. Highly recommend it
Writing this as i’m still sitting at the restaurant- It’s very hard to find good gluten free pizza but this place was some of the best we’ve ever had! Keep in mind it is Neapolitan style so the crust in flimsy in the middle but outside crust is nice fluffy. if you like Neapolitan it is worth coming here! We got the Calzone, Bianca al Prosciutto and the tiramisu! Highly recommend as the whole restaurant is gluten free!
The crust was pretty good but we got sick almost immediately after leaving. The toppings were mediocre on the pizza. The red wine was awful, and this is Spain. They were out of all of the green salads (short on lettuce?). Finally the grissini they serve in an unopened plastic wrapper from the grocery store brand Schar, not even trying.. Super corporate feel run by a bunch of teenagers who clearly hate their jobs. But really, we both got mild food poisoning was the kicker..maybe a cleanliness issue. Way to make a nice evening yuck. Hopefully this review helps others, I don’t know what the positive reviews are about.
Amazing crust. Anyone can do good toppings (don't worry, the sauce and toppings are great here - a yummy combination of options) - but not everyone can nail the crust like they do here. Texture, taste, and not super heavy as gf trends to be. I'm the only one in my party with celiac, but everyone was very happy with their pizzas.
They take reservations, and recommend them if dining during mealtime.
I went to this same chain in Barcelona! Very slow service (surprisingly as I was alone and one of 3 tables actually in there). The pizza itself is amazing! I got the Diavola both times as I loved the spicy salami on it!! I tried the Caesar Salad that was quite nice as well!
I don’t think they love English speaking customers but whatever. It’s safe and delicious food so I just put up with the attitude lol
This place was amazing. You may travel the world and not find such good pizza crust. Our whole group loved it, including my non-GF son who chafes at “having to” eat GF food. Desserts were delicious too!
Geweldig gegeten! Nog nooit zo'n lekkere pizza gegeten die ook als hij afkoelt lekker blijft. Een dikke aanrader.
I do not reccomend going here as an American based on how poorly we were treated. As soon as they heard we spoke English upon check in, you can see the woman's face (Ana) completely change. We had a reservation for 8:00pm and we were the only ones in there. They sat us all the way in the back by the service area when the entire front was empty. We sat there for 40 minutes watching people pile in after us, take their orders and get their food before they even took our orders. It was very very obvious they didn't want to provide us service, and considering we were so friendly and smiling to them, it was clear it was discrimination because we were English speaking Americans. We got our food AFTER watching 8-10 tables LEAVE who all came in before us. They also gave us the wrong food, and when we tried saying something they walked away. The pizza that did come was the worst gluten free pizza I've had since my diagnosis almost 3 years ago. The crust was light and fluffy but the middle of the pizza was wet and soggy and mushy, gross. I would never ever come back here or reccomend anyone to based on how poorly we were treated. $50 for soggy pizza also wasn't worth it.
Excellent wood fired pizza, loved it. Even non celiac kids loved the pizza. Restaurant is really nice too, pizza oven is front and center. 100% gf at the gluten free restaurant (they have other locations, so make sure you pick right). Put it up there with Little Nonna in Paris as far as quality.
My wife and adult son were in Spain for a wedding and in Madrid for a week. My adult son and I (both Celiac) had a Calzone, his first Calzone ever and my first GF Calzone; perfecto! We had GF Beer and my wife (Non-Celiac) had a salad, the GF pizza (neopolitan) and a glass of the house red wine; The wine was the only disappointment of the meal. Truly, the BEST GF Pizza / Calzone / Appetizers EVER!
Best GF pizza in the world! You wouldn’t notice it’s GF in a blind tasting!
Found the restaurant through this app, and it was great. Good food and service, and nice atmosphere
I recommend this restaurant. Pizzas are really unbelievable. The best pizza ever tasted. No risk of cross contamination as all menu is gluten free.
Recommended by my daughter’s work colleague - pizza was just as I remember it pre diagnosis
The best pizza I’ve had in my Gluten Free life! I’m celiac and pizza, as y’all know is so hard. This place is dedicated Gluten Free. They went the extra mile to show up and show off; adding details to remind you, you are in a safe place. Come here when in Madrid!
I’m also Lactose Free and they were kind to accommodate, as the waiter was also GF/LF.
My partner who found this place does not suffer from any allergies, but eats GF for me. He said it was so good as well and we ate every slice of our own pizzas.
This is definitely my favorite pizza place in Madrid and it very well may be my favorite gluten free pizza place ever!! I’ve brought countless non-gluten free friends here and they LOVE the gluten free pizza too. In fact, one told me he would have no idea it was gluten free if I hadn’t told him. This location is 100% gluten free, but some of the other ones are not so make sure to double check.
**BE CAREFUL**. There are two restaurants both named Grosso Napoletano- one is gluten-free and one is NOT. Make sure that you are at the gluten-free location! With that being said, this is amazing pizza that I highly recommend! It gets very busy so make a reservation, or if you want take away, do it early in the day or pre-order online.
Food is all gf, easy allergen guide if you also have multiple allergies; fast and INSANELY delicious food. There’s some non-gf beers you can get but all the food is safe and there’s gf drink options so truly not an issue
