I was told the only things here that were gluten free were the salsa with out crotons

Was told only spaghetti w/ marinara or rotisserie chicken safe for dinner. I ordered spaghetti and got a serving so small it would fit in a coffee cup. Really!!

Waitress was knowledgeable but I had a reaction to the gluten free pasta so I am assuming the kitchen gave me the wrong pasta. I would never eat here again.
No
Amazing pasta. Pasta is the only option. They boil the pasta separately. Seriously so good! Awesome service.
We had two different gluten free pastas. Since they make everything the chef can do mostly anything gf. No menu but talk to your server and they handle it. Only place I did not get sick in Fremont area.
Yes
Had GF pasta that I ate with the frutti di mare (seafood/shellfish). They didn't have a separate menu but the server was knowledgable about options I could eat
For a true celiac, pasta or the entree’s are your only option. Chef came out and said they could make sauce GF. Pizza is in shared space. No apps or desserts are GF. Had GF pasta with chicken and mushrooms in a cream sauce. Spicy and tasty.

Certain sections of the menu, like pasta say "gluten free upon request". They were able to sub gluten free pasta as well as revise the sauce in the pasta to ensure no gluten was used as a thickener. Prepared in its own pan, with a glove change and prepped by someone who does not work near the bread station. Waiter and chef were very familiar with prevention of cross contaminating. Very pleased with the knowledge of this establishment!

I ate here tonight and had a wonderful experience with waitress and chef! Not everything on gf menu just ask! I had the gf pasta bolognese and shared a small plate of beef tenderloin with fried with my husband (checked with chef prior) is was wonderful!
Grotto is very overpriced but able to accommodate Celiac Disease. There are only 2 gluten free appetizers on the menu - the small cheese dip is $12. Soup & salad is not included with the main meal ($8 for soup and it’s not a large bowl). For my main entree, I ordered bolognese pasta. It was very spicy and overpriced ($21 which did not have meatballs or sausage, just meat sauce). Overall the food was not worth the price!!
