My son and I both have celiacs and were excited when Ground Round introduced its gluten free menu. Unfortunately we tried ordering from it about half a dozen times between the 2 of us and we were sick every time (celiacs sick-hits the day after and lasts a week). On my 2nd to last visit, I spoke with the manager who was "shocked" and then he went to the kitchen and said he discovered the cooks were not using the gluten free bbq sauce. He assured me my food would be prepared properly and when it came, it had a big ole slice of texas toast on it. The manager then made my meal himself and no problems. Next visit, the waitress rolled her eyes when I ordered my gluten free steak. It was brought to me with breaded onion things on top. I told her I would need a new steak and she took it to the kitchen and returned with my "new" steak a minute or so later. Needless to say I did not eat it and have not gone back. I feel they are resentful of the gluten free crowd and no amount of niceness or complaining is going to fix that- but I sure gave them more chances than they deserved!

Oshkosh Location ONLY- Great server, great atmosphere ! So if you have no allergies , you will be great ! Sadly, they brought out my cheeseburger, I asked two different times if this was a gluten free bun because it just looked different. She assured me it was safe to eat. After eating half my burger , I noticed it looked like my father-in-laws regular burger….. I spent my evening vomiting and excruciating stomach pains. My 6 year old has celiac and I will never put our safety in their hands again!

Save yourself the trip. Waitress knew nothing, all they offer is a gf bun as bread. They don’t have a gf menu. The service was also lacking severally and taste was bland to say the least.

I ordered a filet of sirloin for a conference at the attached hotel. The chef came out and talked to me and went over the dinner with me. I had also called the establishment before the dinner to be sure everything would be safe. Everything tasted good and had did not have a reaction. Pleasantly pleased.

Took our adult daughter to GR and she ordered a salad off their ‘separate’ GLUTEN FREE menu. An hour later she was terribly sick!! We expected so much better - Ground Round is definitely a HARD PASS for us from now on.
