Such a yummy place! They have gluten free buns and the sweet potato fries are fried in a separate frier. I had the Front Porch and the sweet potato fries with the Jalapeño ranch (I think that’s what it’s called), omg to die for! We also had the cheese fries with the sweet potato fries. They were just okay! Just cheese on top of fries. Would absolutely recommend this place. The manager came to our table after we were finished and asked us why we had chosen to come there and we explained we wanted burgers with a gluten free bun. She was so excited to hear this and asked us to make sure to right a review for them because they want people to know how serious they take allergies. They grill the burgers in a separate location on the grill and keep all the buns separate from everything else.
I was worried going her because of the poor reviews. I decided to be extra cautious. I had a plain burger with tomato wrapped in lettuce and I had them add avocado and bacon. I had them leave off all condiments since I was worried about cross contamination. I also did not get fries, although the person at the counter said the sweet potato fries were safe. I did not risk it. The burger was very good, and I felt fine eating out. No problems at all. I would go back and maybe take my own chips or something so I didn't feel deprived when my companions eat their fries.
FAIL! I watched them prepare my burger and “gluten free” sweet potato fries. They did not change gloves and they were handling other food items. My burger was delivered with a French fried onions - not GF. I gave it to a friend. AVOID!!!
I just spoke with the manager. She was very specific what was safe and not. They do not have a dedicated stove for fries. They sides are safe. The shakes are safe just ask them to clean them before making yours. The burger is big. The bun is safe but they need to work on it not coming apart like Red Robin's. Highly recommend and speak with manager before ordering.
When I go to a burger place I expect that the burger is gonna be excellent, it was not. Burnt on the outside and really pink on the inside and in general no flavor on the patty. The “add ons” were packed with flavor but a burger needs to be able to stand on its own and not be completely dependent on the condiments. It reminded me a frozen burger patty put on a really hot grill. Quite frankly Wendy’s has a better burger patty. Also, I adore sweet potato fries, they are my absolute favorite-these however were very far below the bar. As far as managements response to my burger ...... they don’t know what happened that’s never happened before and they hope I’ll give them another chance but did NOT offer any enticement to do so. As far as gluten free......I’ll let you know if I get sick
Their fryer is cross-contaminated because they fry chicken fingers in the same fryer as their fries...beware
Staff is well educated on cross contamination avoidance. Burger was really good. Sweet potato fries were awesome, dedicated fryer. Angry orchard on tap plus full bar. I think the bun was Schar brand. Very good overall.
GF bun, great burgers and GF sweet potato fries
We have eaten here several times in the past with no problems. However, I think the staff is getting sloppy. My daughter got sick after eating here. Beware. This place is not the same. The cooks are not taking the proper measures to keep celiac people safe.
Staff was knowledgeable and while they don’t have GF menu, they will walk you through the many burger (GF bun) and salad options. The regular fries aren’t GF but the sweet potato waffle fries are and they are cooked in a dedicated fryer. Other GF sides include a corn and bean salsa salad, roasted Brussel sprouts and a side salad with 3 or 4 GF dressing options. Prices were reasonable too.
Burger bun was very good, sweet potato waffles were ok, however their French fries are floured. Per the manager their shakes are gluten free (no malt). I did not order a shake, but my wife said hers was very good. My burger was very good, but a little sad I couldn’t regular fries with my burger. If you like sweet potato fries, you can have a full (normal) meal with plenty of burger options.
Having an off Monday! Out of GF BUNS ! To lazy to run to run to Publix like they did the last few days when I asked why they were out. Dirty silverware and greasy food! Don’t drink to much the bathrooms were to gross too! Have low expectations! I asked he other patrons there how their experiences have been and they said it’s too pricy , they stop based on convince.
I told the cashier I have Celiac, ordered GF bun on my burger& sweet potato fries. I realized after I finished my burger there was a regular fry on my plate and informed management for the kitchen staff to be more diligent about cross contamination.
Tracey the manager was awesome. Great selections for gluten free and great modifications too. She explained their training and I felt very comfortable with my choices. Love the varied menu options and ability to make what you want from the menu for the most part. This will become a common place for me.
Staff is super knowledgeable & informed me of GF bun & that ONLY sweet potato fries are in a dedicated GF fryer. However, whenever I get a burger & sweet potato fries I feel sick the next day so there must be cc somewhere. I’ve ordered the Greek chicken salad & been ok with that. I really want this to be a celiac friendly place but I don’t think it is.
I got seriously glutened today at this location. I had never been there before and specifically asked if the fries were in a dedicated fryer and let them know I had Celiac Disease. The girl at the register assured me they were fine. Turns out the fries are coated in a gluten. Never again!!!
This is the second time that I’ve come here and they’ve messed up my order and either gave me a wheat bun or pieces of fries in my gluten free sweet potato fry order after thoroughly explaining my celiac disease and how severe my reactions are
They have gluten free buns and their sweet potato fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer. After I paid $2.00 for the gf bun, they tell me they are out of gf buns. I didn't ask for a refund. The sweet potato fries were good, but they make their own ketchup and they told me it was not gf. It seems crazy to have gf buns and cook your sweet potato fries in a dedicated fryer and then make your own ketchup and put gluten in it.
Gluten free fryer? Their fries are most certainly not made in a GF fryer. Their salmon salad is good, I just wish they had a gluten free menu and fries made in a dedicated fryer. I don’t recommend the GF bun because it falls apart. I’ve never gotten sick here. Their shakes are all malt and dairy free.
My celiac kid and I were both severely ill after eating here. I conveyed we both had severe gluten allergies. We ordered fries and sweet potato waffle fries and were assured they were gf and served in a dedicated fryer by two staff members. After having severe reactions, I called and spoke with the owner only to find out they do not have dedicated fryers and their fries are not gluten free.
They girl the took our order said they understand Celiacs disease, and their gluten-free orders were made in dedicated cooking and prep areas, including fryers. They take advantage of you on the bun, though. It’s a $2 up charger for GF.
Not a dedicated fryer. Sooo sad😕
My son with Celiac LOVED his burger on GF bun and milkshake! We were told the sweet potato fries had a dedicated fryer but when we ordered, the guy told us that "things happen" and couldn't promise there would be no cross contamination. So my son passed. I got the sweet potato fries tho and they were delicious!
