The bowls are absolutely delicious! Avoid chips and anything fried as their fryer isn't dedicated GF. Friendly staff too.

It’s good Mexican if not the most flavorful in the city.
It’s our family standby so i eat here 2-3 X each month and have never gotten sick.
I only ever have the bowl.

Güero is one of our favorite spots to get lunch in Portland. The environment is welcoming, they always have great music playing, and the staff is super friendly. My regular order is Esquites to start with a Café Patitos to drink and then The Cart Bowl with Carnitas. The bowl is really the only GF staple on their menu. It has become one of my go-to comfort foods in Portland. My partner gets the Ahogada Torta (not GF) every time and he's obsessed. We will continue loving Güero and recommending them to friends as long as they are open and operating.

The cart bowl is so good. It’s gluten-free and can easily be made vegan. So much better ingredients and flavor than any of the other gf vegan bowls in town.

Guero has incredible flavors. The main gluten free entree is the cart bowl, it comes with your choice of protein, beans, rice, roasted corn, fresh arugula and cabbage, pickled red onions and house made hot sauce. This has been one of my go-to places for years and I’ve never had any contamination issues.
