Review of Hack-Ma-Tack Inn

This historic riverfront restaurant is pricey, but despite my severe gluten sensitivity, I was fine after 3 of my husband's escargot (obviously, without the toast) and my filet, broccoli and potato. I am also sensitive to casein, and they helped me avoid that.... I considered getting their Hack-Ma-Tack salad, but he wasn't sure about the candied walnuts, and without that and the cheese which I need to avoid it didn't sound like it was worth the additional price. some of the people that accompanied us were not happy with their meals, but I'm always happy if I don't have repercussions. my meal was tasty, and next time I would bring some gluten-free bread to enjoy with the escargot.
