They have some gluten free options for breakfast (though I have not personally tried them). I went there for lunch and got the Cali burger with an Udi bun. When I told the waiter that I was Celiac, they made sure to mark it and told me that my meal would be prepped in a clean space. It took a little longer to come out than my friend's did (who is not Celiac) but that was fine. The burger was excellent with the bun even toasted. I had no reaction whatsoever and would definitely come again.

Homey diner with knowledgeable staff. I had the Cali Turkey Melt with home fries and baked bean sides. It was all really good. They do tell you that the home fries are not cooked on a dedicated skillet, but they do clean it off first - scrap it. It cost about $11/person for the 3 of us to eat.

2017-02-05 - I've eaten several times since the last review and have enjoyed each time. This time I had the Reuben on GF bread with hash browns and baked beans. Had a Carmel shake - delicious

Would like to say getting glutened was worth it, but it wasn't. Ordered grilled chicken salad and either they didn't head my plea about cross-contamination or they just didn't know any better, but I was sick before we even paid the bill.

Service was horrible and my husband's debit card information was stolen from this place. We will never go back.

Hamburg Inn is a local legend. We had been told they could accommodate my wife's need for gluten free food. The waitress was knowledgeable about the required precautions to prevent cross contamination. She assumed us that they had separated areas and appliances for preparing gluten free meals and even checked on ingredients in her meal for safety. The meal was delicious and stress free, because the staff was well versed in the needs of their customers. Do yourself a favor and head to this classic diner for great food and service!

They offered GF bread and buns and assured that they used a designated area and toaster for their GF items. The waitress also mentioned that they're taking further steps to offer more options and make their kitchen safer to hold more GF items
