NO LONGER GF IN ANY WAY. The family sold the restaurant in summer 2021 and now nothing on the menu can be made gluten free.

can’t say enough good things about this place. The menu isn’t labeled with gf so you have to ask but everything I’ve wanted can be made gf. It’s a lovely family owned place and best of all—the gf breaded chicken is a completely different shape than the regular so you can visually tell you have the gf one. I love the orange chicken and sesame chicken and the egg drop soup is also gf. I’ve eaten here probably a dozen times in the past year and haven’t gotten sick once.

Staff is very nice and make sure the food is prepared gluten free as well as ensuring it was made gluten free before bringing it out. We have had the sweet & sour chicken, sesame chicken, med rare pho, shrimp spring rolls, and the Vietnamese egg rolls as well as the lemonade and the hot green tea. All with no issues. Most items on their menu can be made gluten free. Looking forward to trying more plates soon!

Happy that it has a lot of GF options. However, I thought the chicken was very chewy. I think it was boiled chicken and then the sauce was thrown on top. The flavor of the sauce was good but I felt the texture could be better.

One of my most recommended for visiting gf friends & family as well as one my staples. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sesame chicken & egg drop soup.

The owner, Hong, is so friendly & accommodating. Between the service & amazingness of their food, they've kept me coming back for 4+ years. I wish I could have them more than 5 stars!!

This may be my favorite place in Austin. They are so knowledgeable and I never get sick. I get the spring rolls and then a shrimp or chicken dish - he can guide you to which ones are gluten free. I always feel safe here!

We ordered sweet and sour and orange chicken it is bread and fried and delicious!!

Delicious!!! We had sweet & sour chicken which was breaded/fried and sweet & spicy chicken which was a stir fry in brown sauce. Both were amazingly tasty. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about GF. This is now my go to for Chinese food!

They are the best! They will try and make anything on the menu gluten free for you. Owned by such a sweet and kind family. I'm obsessed with the chicken wings and spicy Pad Thai. Mm mm!

Excellent flavor and service. We had the General Tso Chicken, Mongolian Chicken and Vietnamese Egg Rolls, all gluten free. They were very knowledgeable and are used to accommodating about 90% of their menu.

The staff is exceptional and so is the food. They take great care in preparation and it’s evident in both the quality of the food and the way I feel every time I eat there (been going there since 2013)

Great neighborhood gem! Found Hao Q through the app. The food was wonderful and I did not get sick! The restaurant does not have a gluten free menu. However nearly 90% of the menu can be made GF. I spoke with the owner and she and the chef are extremely knowledgeable. The sesame chicken was fantastic and a great treat. My husband had the Neptune Platter and the seafood was cooked to perfection! Will definitely go back.

Awesome gluten free Vietnamese egg rolls and crispy sesame chicken made with corn starch and gluten free sauces!!!

I love this place! They do gluten free sauces, corn starch based breading, and a separate fryer. I talk to the owner everytime I'm in - she's very knowledgeable. I've eaten here a handful of times and never gotten sick. Highly recommended!

Celiacs beware! The gf orange chicken is made in the same deep fryer and the same oil as gluten menu items. I told the waiter that is not ok for celiacs due to cross contamination. He shrugged and said they have a customer with celiac who eats it all the time.

Why hasn't this place been reviewed more on here?! BEST Asian food in Austin!!! Everything on the menu tastes just like the original versions! Expect CRUNCHY yummy deep-fried goodness and dishes bursting with loads of flavor! Skip out on all the other chains in town that serve only blah GF Asian cuisine. Highly knowledgable staff and very accommodating! Recommend Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken... you won't leave disappointed, or hungry! So happy to have found you Hao-Q! THANK YOU!

The owner and staff are very knowledgeable about gluten free issues. They use a rice tamari and can make almost everything on the menu gluten free. I had the beef & mushroom last night and ate the entire family plate, it was so good.
