Hapa is our go-to GF sushi place! We've been many times and I've never been glutened. The allergy-friendly food comes out flagged and on a separate plate, every time. They're always happy to make accommodations for my additional allergies (dairy and eggs/mayo).
They've updated their menu recently, so we tried a bunch of new rolls. I definitely recommend the Big Kahuna (new), and the Statue of Liberty (legacy).
Fish is always fresh, service is always stellar. Check out happy hour and order an appetizer or two if you're hoping to keep costs down.

Everything was really delicious and safety seemed extremely good. Highly recommend and encourage others to go there.
Gluten controls are top notch here! They have a separate GF menu, flag GF food with little flags and bring out GF soy sauce as soon as they see the GF menu. They use fresh gloves and cutting boards, but do not have a dedicated fryer or preparation area.
Ordered a variety of items, including some Philadelphia roles and magic mushrooms.
I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the standard rolls. The rolls barely stayed together, the rice was minimally applied and the taste wasn’t very good. Considering the simplicity of the role, I was surprised that it didn’t taste any better than a grocery store sushi roll.
Can’t beat the quality of their GF controls. However, at least for my experience, the quality of the food did not justify the relatively high price of the food.
Such delicious food!! Service is good and friendly. I go in or get take out often, they are my go to gluten free sushi.
First visit here and it was amazing! They have happy hour every day 2:30-5:30 and have a separate happy hour gluten free menu. Items came out with an allergy stick which I always appreciate. Gluten free soy sauce was brought out and was labeled. Will definitely be back!
We went for happy hour which is 2:30- 5:30 daily. They have a separate GF happy hour menu that was pretty vast. Had the magic mushrooms (which aren’t mushrooms at all) and they are one or the best appetizers I’ve ever had (avocado wrapped with steamed salmon and an amazing sauce over them). Had LA rolls (shrimp, avocado and cucumber), California rolls and avocado rolls. Rotating GF beer in a Can served in a pint glass only $4! Sometimes it’s New Planet and sometimes Holidaily. Food comes out marked allergy. Been here many times all with No reaction. I asked them to change gloves and marked my order as celiac. Nice outdoor seating when nice weather

Hapa used to be a place I could always trust and a place I always had some of the best sushi. Their quality has really gone downhill over the last two years. I ordered gluten-free, everything was labeled, but I got incredibly sick. Definitely a gluten reaction that lasted almost a week. I will never return here again
I am thrilled to find a safe spot for sushi- waiter was very knowledgeable and replaced the soy sauce on the table with a gf alternative as soon as I told him my allergy. Sushi was marked gluten free, and I was told the kitchen staff uses all separate cook utensils and changes their gloves.

They have a completely separate gluten free menu and very knowledgeable about celiac and gluten allergies. They take precautions seriously to ensure the safety of their gluten free food
There are a lot of appetizers and sushi rolls that are already or can be made gluten free. My food always comes out marked.

Delicious and fast enough for lunch. They kept me safe on a whim when my usual place was unexpectedly closed.
While I was super impressed with how they handle GF, I was less impressed with my meal. They offer lots of interesting and unique choices, which is great. I eat a lot of sushi though. The miso soup was very salty, and the wakame was in huge leaves, making it difficult to eat. I ordered the Aspen roll, I found the rice very mushy, and wish the cucumber was cut in thin strips rather than one large chunk. I also found $18 for a single roll with shrimp and crab, no fish, to be a bit over priced.
I've been several times to this Hapa Sushi and never had any problems! Their gluten free menu has a great variety! Even my non-celiac friends choose from the gluten free menu and love it!

Omg the happy hour sushi menu is the best!! Although the rolls are a little limited the food is always fantastic! Staff has dedicated gluten free menu soy sauce & ponzu sauce which is to die for!!! And we can even have the miso soup!!! Love love love Hapa and celiac friendly chefs!! I suggest the new style 5 piece sashimi you won't be disappointed!!
