Server asked if there was any allergies which i thought was nice, I said gluten. Ordered a burger and gf bun with a side salad since fries are prob CC. Get the order and it has fries on the burger plate and salad with croutons. Tell him I can't eat this, he goes to replace it. He comes back out with a salad, looking closely there are crumbs on the salad. Would never eat there again they do not take food safety seriously.
NY strip, Yukon gold mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. My server checked with the kitchen to ensure all was GF. She stated they have a GF button when they enter an order to flag it. I was very happy with the attention paid to my order.
I felt pretty safe eating here and ate here twice on our layovers each way. Had the cheeseburger both times with a side salad. They didn’t know if the dressing was GF so suggested oil and vinegar. The GF bun comes out in a sealed plastic bag steamed and it was decent. Had BBQ sauce on the side. One server said they are supposed to have a dedicated Gf fryer but one said she didn’t recommend the fryer. I did not eat the fries to be safe

Ordered the hamburger. The gluten free bun came in a sealed bag, which had been steamed. Very good.
The HR cafe is located outside before taking your train to the terminal, don’t make the same mistake I did and go through security to find out you don’t have any options past security! I had to exit the terminal and luckily had time to grab a burger before my flight!
Anyway -The waitress had the manager come over to give information about their options -which is their protocol. He said most of the menu can be tailored to my needs. The oil the fries are cooked in gets mixed with the oil where the fried shrimp are cooked at the end of the night. He says most people who have a gluten intolerance do just fine eating their fries. I ordered a burger with a gluten free bun which came sealed in a bag but warmed up. All toppings on the side so you have to build the burger. I chose mash potato for my side and I’m glad I did because I ended up not eating most of the bun. As we know, gluten free bread has a hard time staying together. Overall, Hard Rock Cafe was a good choice since there aren’t many GF friendly restaurants at TPA.

Our waitress really took the time to check what items I could eat & said the chef recommended the burger with a GF bun, and served with broccoli instead of the fries. Great choice!
No gluten free menu, and there’s really few ways to make the breakfast menu work.
When I asked, a host informed me that the breakfast potatoes were not gluten free as they are breaded.
Stopped for breakfast while at airport. I’ve had success at other Hard Rocks so thought it was worth a try (my glutinous companion needed a good breakfast before a flight). Figured worst comes to worse I’d get some fruit. The server, Tracy, was awesome! When I said I had an allergy without missing a beat she told me they had a dedicated fryer for the breakfast potatoes and I could have everything on the breakfast menu except the bread! She even asked if it was an intolerance or an allergy! I was very impressed! I don’t like eggs so I got a side of bacon, side of potatoes, and side of fruit. It as pricy that way but I got an excellent portion, tasty, and filling! Fruit was a huge sundae cup of berries. Will definitely make me keep an eye out for Hard Rocks when traveling!

Had my birthday dinner, and with the acoustic voucher, had a cheeseburger, soft drink, and ice cream. The waiter was very knowledgeable and gave me the choice of mashed potatoes, salad or fries in a dedicated fryer. Chose the mashed potatoes and they were great. For dessert, ice cream or milkshake was available and my partner ate a brownie, which wasn’t GF. They read the note I left in the reservation, saying someone was GF and already gave me one menu. The only con, was the bun, which was not good in flavor nor in texture.
Great experience at the Hard Rock. When we were being seated, we told the host we have a Gluten allergy, he said let me get you a GF only menu. As my son with Celiac said, “that’s the first restaurant I’ve been to that has a Gluten Free menu.” The GF menu easily had 20 items listed including wings, burgers & tater tots. Will definitely go back.
There is a dedicated gluten-free menu with lots of options. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was really delicious. Highly recommended

They have a gluten free menu which is always appreciated. Hard Rock used to be a staple for me to get a cheeseburger and fries... but the waiter informed me they have since changed their fry ingredients and are no longer gluten free. That is very disappointing. They subbed it with mashed potatoes but they seemed to be instant and did not taste good at all. My cheeseburger was delicious as usual. Wish they didn't change their fries so I would have been able to have a full meal. The burger comes out to $23.
