One star is the lowest I can go?? I have never eaten here before. My parents were going to lunch after my son's soccer game so we opted to join them. I called ahead before driving there to ask if they had a gluten free menu and a kids menu. The girl who answered assured me that they had both. They do not actually have a gluten free menu. They have a menu with a nice variety, however the gluten free "menu" consists of a hamburger with a side salad of which you can only get Italian dressing on. Our waiter was a young man. I asked if they had sangria. He told me he was not familiar with the alcoholic drinks available. He directed me to a drink menu. I had to request a manager twice to ask about gluten free salad dressings for the side salad that came with the only gluten free option on their menu. He sent some man over, whom I later found out was named Blue. I do not know what Blue's title is, I do know that he looked unkept with his shirt stained and not tucked in. I'm pretty sure in my 42 years of existence, I have NEVER been treated so rudely by somebody in an establishment in which I am spending money. He came to the table, clearly acting put out, and asked if I had a "problem" with the dressings. I simply expressed that ranch and blue cheese are typically gluten free at other restaurants. He told me they aren't and added that they are out of Italian. There was no apology, no empathy, just the silent "suck it up" that goes along with the one gluten free item that I can no longer even get a side item to pair with it. I asked if I could see a label for the ranch. Hey, I get it. I didn't know much about glutenous ingredients until I was diagnosed with Celiac. I was happy to look at the ingredients myself. He told me it was a big tub...another words I was not going to be able to look at the tub of dressing. So, I have still never eaten here and I WILL NEVER eat here. There are many places in which I can not eat due to my dietary restrictions. I don't cry about it. I just select a place that is able to accommodate. But when I call AHEAD OF TIME from FRISCO to ask if you have a gluten free menu, the answer should either be:

1. No, ma'am...I'm sorry we do not.

OR

2. We offer a hamburger on a gluten free bun with a dressingless side salad.

What can I say about Harry's? Well it is absolutely wonderful, although that does not do it justice. I LOVE IT! Harry's at the Harbor has atmosphere, great food, great service (which is HARD-TO-FIND), and so attentive to my special dietary needs. This staff goes above and beyond every time I come. We were blessed to have our rehearsal for our wedding he TREAT YOURSELF and head on down to Harry's! *If you have a problems with cross-contamination please be advised and just let your server know. The menu had a note that said buns could be replaced with gf buns. The buns are from Dallas's own Local Oven. It was fresh and delicious and I did not get sick. Only option was to get a side salad instead of fries because of a shared fryer. Didn't ask about anything else on the menu because the server didn't seem very knowledgeable and that's why it's only 3 stars. The burger was very good and no sickness but staff not aware.
