Had the Classic Burger wrapped in lettuce and it was delicious. I confirmed with them that they use a dedicated fryer and so I tried the tator tots which were excellent as well. Will definitely be back. They have a great outdoor area with outdoor play area for kids.

I called ahead and they were very knowledgeable about gluten. All fried items are made with GF flour so the main gluten source would be the buns. I had the yummy buffalo nuggets and tator tots. They also have GF labeled on their menu and a dedicated GF menu online. The only thing I questioned was the ranch since it wasn’t listed on the GF menu, but I ordered to-go so I chose to use my own ranch at home.

We eat there almost every week. My daughter and I both have Celiac and her Celiac is severe. We have NEVER had any issues. We eat the burger, chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and salads and never one single issue. We love the place and the food.
— Yes, the establishment is dedicated gluten-free

Three of my family members have celiac. One or more have been glutened here twice so we can no longer go. It really sucks because this was a great spot to take the kids. They have a dedicated fryer and lots of gluten free options but I don’t think they are well trained on cross contamination, unfortunately.

They used to be decent about giving the right gf bun and seemed to cook it away from the regular burgers. But recently they have been slacking and I’ve gotten the wrong bun/sick from cross contamination.

This is the first time that I’ve visited that they were careless with giving me a gluten-free burger. Not a good thing. They did make another one, but if I’d eaten it I’d been sick.

I have eaten here a few times and have only gotten sick once. I am very sensitive to cross contamination, so if you aren't as sensitive to it this is definitely the place for you.

This is my first time eating out after officially being diagnosed celiac. They didn’t offer to cook in a separate area, but happily obliged with a gluten free bun. It’s Saturday night and the place is a madhouse, so I wonder if they might provide a little more special attention at a less busy time? I love Hat Creek and was happy to find the bun was pretty good. Their menu says everything should be safe. We’ll see how I feel in a few hours.

Hat Creek Burger on 79 in Round Rock is the best for a gluten free burger. When they opened, the did not have gluten free buns, so I brought my own and ordered the "burger bowl" which is (for me) a turkey burger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and cheese. After a few times marching in there with my own bun, they have all gluten free buns now! They have a separate area to prepare gluten free food. I believe all the condiments (sauces) are now gluten free, but be sure to ask, because one sauce used to have gluten in it. French fries are cooked in the dedicated gluten free fryer. Great service, fast at the drive through, and if you have little kids, a wonderful playground for them outside. LOVE LOVE LOVE HAT CREEK! Safe for celiacs? Yes I think so. I've eaten there dozens of times and never gotten "glutened" unlike some places who say they are gluten free.
As far as I know, all the food is gluten free but ASK, always.

Yum!!! Everything was delicious!!! Will definitely go back!
All the sides are gluten free. They also offer gluten free buns. Happy sauce contains wheat but the others are safe. Dedicated fryer.

Almost everything can be made GF (I usually get a burger bowl). They have a dedicated fryer so I can even get fried pickles! They have a dedicated mixer for milk shakes. Love it!

Staff was very knowledgeable and the food was great. Gluten free fried pickles!!!

Gluten free buns and all sides are gluten free
I have celiac disease and told the lady taking our order. She assured me everything is gluten free and took my order. I ordered the chicken nuggets and sweet potato fries. Both on the menu are gluten free. when I received the food my boyfriend also had ordered a regular hamburger. And they put both my gluten free food in the bag with the hamburger. Wrapped up of course, but as any Celiac will know it being in the same bag is risky and not very thoughtful of cross-contamination. I should have known it then but I ate it anyway. And now today I'm suffering the consequences. If you have celiac disease I would not recommend eating here.they obviously do not consider cross-contamination while making the food or bagging it. Eat at your own risk.
My go to place for fried foods. Also LOVE their fermented pickles!

Let them know I had an allergy. The fryer is safe. No gf bun. Had the chicken nuggets and tater tots.

Hat Creek has a pretty decent selection but I have to say based on my last visit the staff is really untrained on even the basics. Get there early enough to be able to explain exactly what you need.
All of their fries items are gluten free! Including fried pickles, sweet potato fries and chicken nuggets. The cashier was incredibly accommodating when I asked if they could change gloves to make my burger. There is no bun option, but I never feel safe ordering a gf bun. They have a great play area for the kids too!

So nice to find gluten free chicken nuggets and fried pickles! The gluten-free hamburger buns are also great, but sometimes my favorite is the paleo bowl with hamburger patty, spinach, avocado, and cheese,
