We went here because their online menu says all tacos are GF..and my daughter has celiac. When we sat down and looked at the menu..in person it was obvious everything was cross contaminated. Our waitress had no idea about GF and when we asked about the rice..she said “it’s rice of course it has gluten”.. when in reality a lot of rice options are in fact GF. If they are going to advertise GF they should make sure the staff is knowledgeable what is truly GF and safe for Celiacs..this restaurant is NOT truly GF..beware

Most of the things on the menu noted as GF are cooked on a grill that is used for gluten foods. That includes all the tacos. And the chips are fried in a fryer used for other food. So yes they have lots of GF on the menu but no it's not celiac friendly.

Pretty good food and everything is labeled. Still had to warn them about cross contamination and all which they weren’t aware of but they did good and I didn’t get sick!!

Waitress/staff are very knowledgeable, they even double checked if the tortilla soup was GF. Hint: there are tortilla chips crushed in, which are NOT GF. But they have lots of other GF options and it was very tasty.

They have a gluten free marked menu, which includes GF blue corn pancakes at breakfast. However, I asked about other breakfast items marked gluten free and was told that although they use corn tortillas, they are cooked on the same griddle as the flour tortillas. I have my doubts about the GF marking if you are sensitive to cross-contamination and/or celiac.

Tons of options, and the food was great. However they do label their chips as GF but they use a common fryer so don’t eat them.

The staff was knowledgeable, and the menu is marked. However, I do not agree with the practice of marking things GF that are made in a shared fryer! I went for a particular item my friend suggested, but it was fried so I had to change my order. The food is excellent, creative and flavorful. I had 3 different tacos and the Mexican corn. All delicious and I did not feel ill.

Great food and staff was friendly. However, our waiter initially told us that they have a dedicated fryer. A more seasoned waiter corrected him to say they do not. They did have gluten-free chips sealed and were able to heat them in the oven as opposed to the fryer and because they weren’t busy the cook was willing to heat the tortillas for my tacos in a different skillet. They do not have a designated space for preparing gluten-free food. We just got lucky that they weren’t busy and could accommodate.

I went to Hatch 3 times while in Jackson. The first two times I did not get sick. There's no dedicated fryer so I had corn tortillas with guacamole in place of chips. My chicken tacos and, next trip, huevos rancheros were great.

HOWEVER, on my third visit my server told me that the same grill was used for everything and that they absolutely could not make my food in a separate space or with clean knives and cutting boards. Rather than risk it I left.

I did not get sick luckily, but I wish that I had gotten more information during my first two visits. What's more, I wish the restaurant had been more accommodating. There were only 5 other people there when I was told that there were no clean knives. I would have been happy to wait a little if they could have taken some basic precautions.

It was a very cool place. I felt safe eating here. I got the bison enchiladas. It was good. A little too much mole sauce, but still good.

All of the tacos are gluten free. Plenty of options including soup. I asked if the chips were fried with flour products. The server said they were gluten free. I took her word for it before reading the reviews here. Haven't gotten sick yet but will let you know. I thought the food was really good.

Great service - all tacos are GF and other entrees are marked! Chips are not fried in a dedicated fryer but they brought me corn tortillas to have with the Queso. Highly recommend this place to Celiac travelers like myself!

Despite the other reviewers's experience - found no safe tortilla chips. No kids menu. Pork tacos were spicy but otherwise un-flavorful.

Amazing place with knowledgable servers. We ordered chips and salsa during happy hour as an appetizer, before stating that it needed to be gluten free (I had assumed it was since most other things in the restaurant were gluten free- my mistake). When we told the server, she apologized and said she could get me some gluten free tortillas to dip in the salsa. It actually tasted really good! I had the chicken tacos and my husband had the beef brisket tacos. Amazing! I have celiacs and didn't feel sick at all. They seemed very willing and knowledgable on cross contamination and gluten free. One of the few places in Jackson that I felt comfortable eating at! Would eat here a million times!
