Healthy Sins Inc., The Vegan Cafe

My husband (GF & DF) and I (GF) were looking for a place to eat after visiting the Illinois State Museum Lockport Gallery. We looked over the menu and the “nachos” caught his attention.

The restaurant is very clean and the staff welcoming. We decided to dine in, so we took a seat and our server Morgan came over and explained the entire menu is GF, Vegan and raw. She made sure to explain that all the food is served cold since it is raw. My husband was baffled…how can nachos be cold? The table next to us had order them and once he saw them his hunger won him over.

The “nacho” are FANTASTIC! The flavors are layered beautifully and the presentation was on point! The fact they were served cold instantly became irrelevant. The chips are much thicker than traditional chips but they are perfect because they hold up and maintain their structure despite all the ingredients. 10/10 would recommend and completely understand why they are a fan favorite.

We also decided to try desserts since lunch was so good. He wanted to try the vanilla macaroons and I wanted chocolate. Morgan was kind enough to mix them for us so we got two vanilla and two chocolate. We also tried the chocolate brownie. My husband said it has a Lara Bar type texture. The flavors are still really good! Desserts get an 8.5/10 from us!

All-in-all, this is a hidden gem that we will definitely be returning back to and telling all our friends about. Even though we are meat eaters normally, this is a definite win!

I LOVE this place!! everything is raw, vegan, gf and soooo tasty! The lady who owns the place is also super sweet and helpful. Because I have so many allergies, she helped me out so much by detailing the ingredients and how they were made for every item on the pizza i got. If you’re into trying new things, definitely check this place out!

Excellent raw, vegan and gluten free foods!! Absolutely no gluten here. Everything I've tried has been great. The nachos and Turtle brownies are some favorites.

Super friendly staff! They made great recommendations. We tried the nachos and Thai pizza. Both were awesome and the lemon bars were too. What a treasure to find this place!

Delicious!!! Very friendly and helpful staff! Everything is vegan and gluten free! Everything we got was so good! Because everything is raw, all your food will be cold. It surprised me but was so delicious!

GLUTEN FREE! raw, vegan cafe. Outstanding GOOD food! everything is gluten free, it's gluten free heaven. sinfully delicious food. all three in our party were very pleased with our lunch. I look forward to eating at Healthy Sins Vegan Cafe again.

I really love the food and I am not a Vegan. The staff are friendly and happy to explain how items are made. The entire place is gluten free.
