I've eaten at Hearth a few times for special occasions and have never gotten sick. The staff is very well informed and there's tons of items on the menu that are naturally gluten free and absolutely delicious. Last time (June 2021) I had the cecina (chickpea flour pancake), polenta, pork ragu over vegetables and roast chicken. For dessert, I enjoyed the dark chocolate budino (pudding) with sea salt and cocoa nibs. If you are in the East Village or are looking for a place with delicious food that takes gluten free seriously, I highly recommend Hearth.
