Heirloom is one of my favorite restaurants in North Eastern Connecticut. It’s delicious, bread is good, and all their desserts are GF.

I love this place, it’s my go-to for breakfast and lunch. They have some of the best GF baked goods around, especially the GF & vegan oatmeal cream pies. My favorite sandwich is the grown up grilled cheese. They are not a dedicated GF facility, but I’ve never had an issue. They also have several dairy free options. A little pricey, but worth it for organic, GF, locally sourced food.

This place cannot be beat. I travel with children and I am always in the hunt for healthy gluten free options and this place is excellent. Food is fresh and organic along with gluten free bake goods that are awesome and bread and wraps. My families favorite spot.

I have been here 3 times before without any issues, however on my most recent visit I was told that they were "not a gluten free restaurant". I asked about smoothie ingredients and was told all were GF. They told me that the blenders are washed with all the other dishes and could be cross-contaminated then. I asked "wouldn't they be clean then though?" They said yes but some real sensitive folks are still affected. I went ahead with the smoothie and was sick later. I was diagnosed around 7 years ago and have only been inadvertently glutened and sick twice, the second after my last visit to Heirloom. Points to them for giving me all the info but I will not be trying my luck there again...

Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free. The breads are delicious. Everything is fresh and wonderful and I've never had a reaction eating here, and I'm fairly sensitive. Depending on the day they have great gluten free desserts as well!!

Holy wow is this place great. Awesome sandwiches, smoothies, wraps, burgers, soups and baked goods, all delicious and gluten free. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. A block from Logee's. I would love this place even if I weren't GF.

When I drive out this way I always stop here because everything is so fresh and wonderful. All their pre-packaged/ pre-baked GF goodies are legit, as are their shakes, meaning I have never been sick from either of these things. The few times I have tested the waters and ordered sandwiches (pretty much always the cheddar avocado) on their amazing GF bread, I have ended up with a mild attack, most likely due to cross contamination in prep (I am the most sensitive person alive it seems). Its one of those places that won't loose any points though and here's why: the staff is so nice, the place is beautiful, and they put as much effort as they can into making your experience safe and enjoyable.
