Holbrook House Bed and Breakfast

I stayed here for a whole week and didn't get sick once, and I am sensitive to CC.

The food is also *incredible*, they can make a gf version of all their options, and the innkeepers so kind and helpful.

They ask you what level of care they need to take (sounds like they've had people order gf breakfast and then eat the non-gf afternoon cookies before, surely frustrating if you took extensive kitchen precautions), but if you need them to avoid CC, they absolutely can and will do it.

My wife and I stayed at the Holbrook House for four nights last week (it is a B&B, not a restaurant). Eric and Michelle were great hosts and accommodated my celiac (gluten free) eating requirements with flying colors. The breakfasts were awesome, with a variety of choices each day. The room was clean and the location was convenient to all that Bar Harbor has to offer. My wife and I are already looking forward to coming back for another stay at the Holbrook House next year.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Holbrook House and its hosts, Eric and Michelle. The breakfasts we’ve had have all been great and plated beautifully. Michelle makes gluten free versions of whatever is being served that day. The inn is lovely, close to town, and the innkeepers are very helpful. I don’t have celiac but am very sensitive to gluten so I’m only labeling this review as “not sure” but I would recommend it to friends with celiac.

onvenience, FOOD, rooms, bathrooms. You name it the Holbrook house knocks it our of the park. We started every morning eating gourmet breakfast on the house’s beautiful screen porch. Eric and Michelle customized all of our meals to be gluten free—even baking special gluten free baked treats for a snack in the afternoons after our adventures around Acadia. The food was also amazing, each breakfast would fit in perfectly at a high end restaurant. On top of that the provided great advice on hikes, dining, etc. Our room was newly renovated and BEAUTIFUL. The house is perfect location— 5 mins from the park and walkable to bar harbor’s main street with shops/restaurants/grocery store. Look no further, this is the best B&B in bar harbor.
